Wotan said:but your trussting moses that (a) he was inspired by God and (b) he wrote exactl what God said, so therefore genesis is fallible

John16:2 said:EXACTLY what I'm saying; Y'all expect every man of God in the Bible to be infallable, though Jonah was fallable, yet a man of God. You allow no room for the human factor at all, or Hebrew oral tradition to keep the version perfect since the cataclysm of 9600BC, end of Pleistocene age.
May God judge the attackers as harshly as their no slack attitude. Mere men tried to represent God in the Bible, not omniscient gods.
Plato pinpointed 9600BC as the Atlantis cataclysm. ANY human culture had to be after Adam. The knowledge of the GLOBAL pyramid culture is lost as if mount Everest was underwater as nitpickers demand. A generalization statement in Genesis only requires most mountains be covered (2-4 thousand feet), and Hebrew oral tradition (STILL USED), may've exagerrated the story since 9600BC.
Cut God some slack, & the Christians who don't come to CF to get bashed daily (Matthew 5:11).
Science doesn't deny the Pleistocene cataclysm, the only issue is severity described. Underwater ruins are global, including 2 pyramids. Underground ruins from Toltecs to Ur, which has no vegetation to overgrow it. Underground pyramid in China, and many in central America, the buried sphynx badly eroded. All their civilization is a mystery, the cataclysm was complete destruction. That's enough to make the Bible true enough for me.
Uphill Battle said:yes, yes, you're trying to bait someone into protesting, so you can lay in with whatever proof you have that he didn't... let me guess... because he would have had to write about his own death, correct?
ImmortalTechnique said:no... there's simply an astounding amount of evidence t hat the books weren't even written by one person, let alone by moses (who was probably long dead by the time these myths were written down if he ever lived at all)
