• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I want to do things right. I need to forgive my brother and move on with no judgement. Easier said that done... but it needs to be done. Had a meeting were we needed to be on the same page and spoke again to one another. It was so awkward. But after that nothing was said. We have so much coming up this month with our youth and we need to move on. I don't know how to approach it or him. He is very stubborn as am I. Man it's almost gonna be a week....

Grace. Act towards him with grace. If he doesn't melt continue with the grace. You aren't responsible for his actions just yours. You can't blame him for your emotional response to his actions or lack of, that's your responsibility.

If you deal with yourself and act right to him you can do nothing more. Treat him with the traits of 1 Corinthians 13. Then you shall be beyond reproach and you can pray with ease. Hope that is helpful?

I listened to some good sermons on forgiveness. They blessed me. I have forgiven extreme things this year.

They are by Charles Stanley, In touch ministries:

The blame game Part 1
The blame Game Part 2
Anger and Forgiveness Part 1
Anger and forgiveness Part 2

Then how to deal when people get you angry:
How to deal with Anger. Part 1
How to deal with anger. Part 2

If you google his name, intouch ministries and the sermons name in the search bar you should find the correct sermons. They are only 20 something minutes long and stay with you. Really helped me understand the process of forgiveness.

Adrian Rogers did similar sermons as well; maybe you know them.
