1. this is not a discussion, just posting thoughts on lyrics..

I've heard this song many times but I wanted to write some lyrics down that I thought where verythought prevoking...

"Before there was time..there were visions in your eyes..of the death and the fall of mankind...before there were days..there were nights I could not see your face, but the night couldn't keep me from Grace...so I cry holy holy, begotten Son of God, ancient of days..The one, who saved, me and the promises he made, before there was time...."

I thought about this one day, and as I believe that to be true, it amazed me that God, knowing the pain he would go through for us, the pain of watching us fail, the pain of being seperated from us..he loved us enough to create us anyway, and put himself through that pain for us. It just amazes me.

Indeed it is an amazing thought. It is a love inconceivable to the finite mind.
But we when make it personal and think he did it fo ME, just as though I were the only one. WOW! That is a display of love beyond human comprehension.

"The love of God is greater far, Than tongue or pen can ever tell..."

Amen Louis! Once we come to realize the greatness of what He did for us, We can't help but love him all the more. For he also came to us in the flesh and suffered more than any of us ever will.

You're words make me think back to when I was teenager. While all my friends were talking about getting married and having babies, I just couldn't bring myself to understand why anyone would want to bring a child into this world. Especially seeing that there were plenty of unwanted ones, I just figured if I ever did have any children I would adopt them. Later I thought it might be nice to have children, but found out it would be difficult for me to do so even if I did want to. It didn't bother me much, since I already had mixed feelings that started early in my childhood about bringing children into such a rotten world anyway. Now I sit and think, Wow! what if God decided not to bring me into this world because of how rotten it is. You're so right, that's a much greater love than any I can even comprehend. It had to painful for Him to know how much we would suffer here in this world, yet he created us anyway.

It is some thought to chew on yes. But I have to admit that, If I knew God back then, like I know Him today. I would have wanted to have lots of babies. But then again how much more painful it would have been when I found out I couldn't conceive, if I had wanted them that much.

Greater love has no man than to lay down His life. . .

He would rather give His life than to ever live without us.

I can't even begin to imagine how Almighty God could care about me so much. But I'm glad He did.

You are right Sharky. That is BEAUTIFUL. And isn't it great to know that God exists and operates outside of time and is bound neither by time nor space.

For the record this is a cademon's call song.

for the full lyrics go here
http://www.todayschristianmusic.com/caedmonscall_lyrics.htm#Before there was Time

Their music is so lyrically rich I love it because you can just sit and think for hours on them.

another song I like by them are lead of love. Goes something like this..

"Though I questioned the sky, now I see why. Had to walk the rocks to see the mountain view. Looking back I see your lead of love"

and "Looking back at the road so far, The journey's left its share of scars mostly from leaving the narrow and straight"

Another great song by them is called "bus driver." I highly suggest ya pick up the CD ;)

Yet another great song is Coming home...this section to me is increably powerful...

"You say you want a living sacrifice, well I am a burnt offering. Crawling off the alter and back in to the fire. And with my smoke-filled lungs, I cry out for freedom. While locking and chaining myself to my rotting desires"

Great stuff!!

Mercy Me == I can only imagine

when I am surrounded by your glory

 what will my heart feel

will I dance for you Jesus

or in awe of you be still

Will I stand in your presence

To my knee's will I fall

Will I sing Hallelujah

Will I be able to speak at all..

I can only imagine...

This song makes me think... How am I goin to act when the day comes that I face Jesus?  Will I be ready?

we sang that song for the first time at our youth group about a week ago and it really made me think laceyones.

Sometimes their are songs with lyrics which seem simple but just say all you want to to God and that just touch your heart (which are awesome) and their are songs that make you think and help you to learn more to.
