A few years ago, I was writing poetry and a man mentioned liturgical music. We had a thread for liturgical music. I have some songs from that period which I am not certain are original as I was using Psalms as the inspiration:
This song is either inspired by or quoted from Psalms.
There is a tree beside the rivers of water
Abide in the shelter of the Lord
Rest in the shade of the tree
Beside the rivers of water
Angels will watch over thee
Rejoice in the presence of the Lord
The One Who taught us to pray
Praise Him, the Lord we adore
Trust Him to show us the way
Accept the mercy of the Lord
Stand with the heavenly band
Don't wait alone outside the door
Reach out and take His Hand
Step into the promised land
Abide in the shelter of the Lord
Rest in the shade of the tree
Beside the rivers of water
Angels will watch over thee
I thought it was worth posting.
