  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Lord is always at work, faithful, watching over us. A few prayer requests which you can lift up to the Lord with the brothers and sisters in your assemblies...

My US citizenship application process was to start however Immigration service requires Army completes a background check on applicants. So this single background check was sent to Central Clearance Facility of the Army which is based in Ft. Meade MD. My paperwork for this background check was sent May 31st and haven't heard anything back. Unless this paperwork goes through and comes back approved and completed, my citizenship application may not be sent therefore application process won't start. Please lift up this situation to the Lord as He provided in the past with my immigration struggle and it went by smoothly.

Second, I have just been to my Warrant Officer Opportunities briefing where we were briefed on application process, schooling and future career possibilities for being a Warrant Officer in the Army, guaranteed the competitive nature of the selection board and process, people with minimal military experience stand almost no chance to higher ranking enlisted soldiers in the selection process. This is indeed discouraging, pray that the Lord will make opportunities that we would excel in our service to our units and recognized therefore recommended, and can compete with the standards and exceed them. Lord does amazing things each and everyday and I trust that He will help me and guide me as I complete my application to become a Warrant Officer.

Third, Please keep all our service members in prayer serving overseas and at home, that they are safe and well, and under Lord's protection. For some, deployment is a big opportunity to meet the Lord.

Praise report: Praises to the Lord that I have passed my rifle qualification, (which I had many problems last year and became a nightmare) in the first round shooting 36 out of 40 targets.

You're in my prayers, bud.

I will be praying for you, that the Lord's will be done in your life.

By the way, I was a junior Staff Sgt (made it in 4 &1/2 years time in service) when I applied for Warrant Officer. I was appointed one at 5 years 10 months time in service. Back then (1977), I received a direct apppointment...course I was a personnel technician.

Flight Training for Warrant Officers was about the same.

The thing I had in my favor was that although I was a junior NCO, I had much military and civilian education, and good EERs...I took many military correspondence courses (I have over 2500 hours of these) and ended up with over six years of college semester hours during my active duty time (almost 16 years). I also received a direct commission as a 1LT in the Reserves, and retired as a CPT. While on active duty, I was a CW3, and in the Reserves I was a CPT (dual status it is called).

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
