This is one of the main reasons why I have come back to Christianity. I cannot grasp the concept of the complexity and diversity of life without thinking of a Creator behind it all. That is why I believe in God.

What if it were shown that the complexity and diversity of life can (and do) arise with no need of a creator? Would you still prefer to believe in God?
i dont think the complexity of life needs a creator; the simplest building blocks of life like rna, amino acids and mitochondrial organisms are easily created with energy and primordial ooze; we can create rna in a lab through this way.

But, I guess life does need a creator; like, energy and matter working together.
It's an infinite universe. The astronomically unlikely happens all the time.Ah, but as intelligent human beings we can make rna in a lab but to expect random acts of consequences to do this? A little far fetched

It won't ever happen. People like Dawkins probably know this unconsciously, which is why they want to call computer programs life forms. Of course, because we understand every detail of that process so thoroughly that we can write God out of the equation with absolute confidence. Right?As far as the diversity of life goes, it already has happened. Natural selection is the mechanism by which life becomes more diverse and complex.
