A simple prayer request

I am asking for prayer that has long since been needed. I know in my heart that I need to make changes in my life but it always seems so hard because I have no idea where my position is in my faith. At times I recognize that God Is and then there are other times I am like forget it and join in the temptations of the world. My prayer is that I find or at least go back to the place where I first met God because that place is so far beyond me that I can't recapture it. Please pray for me.

To the Most High. The father of Jesus the anointed,

I lift up to you aLoSTsOuL. She seeks reunion with you. She seeks renewal of her life with you. May you shine upon her that first love she felt for you when she first met you. May you show her the path to rekindle her connection with you.

Lord, thankyou that even though many of us feel the same way as LostSoul sometimes you remain faithful to us.
Please give ALostSoul hope, faith and a vision of you.
Lord take her to new places where she can gain a new vision of you and reain a love of you even stronger and deeper than her first love.

Precious Lostsoul your hearts cry has been heard by Jesus. Never has He ever left your side in all this time of your struggle and doubt. He is and has been with you through it all.

One of the reasons you find it hard to let go of things is because you are needing to feel secure in the love of Jesus and know how much He loves you.Then it will be easier for you to move on and grow in faith to leave behind the things that hinder your growing closer to Jesus. Once you allow your security to be in Jesus you can start taking your eyes off yourself and other things and begin to look to, and put Jesus first instead.

We get problems when we look to have our needs met by following after the things and ways of the world. This is false security and never lasts. It is unsatisfying and unfilling. This way just leads to going round and round in circles and not getting anywhere. Any happiness derived from this is temporary.And in the meantime we get to feel God is far away and unforgiven sin creates a barrier inside of us to stop us experiencing the peace and love of God.

You see being a Christian is based on having a Relationship that is maintained by keeping in Fellowship with the one Person who loves you more than anyone ever could.That is God. And God through the Holy Spirit will give you His love in your heart and enable you to change into the person He wants you to be.

Right now my love as you cry out the Holy Spirit is leading you and drawing you close to Jesus. You asking for prayer is evidence God is at work.Because to answer your heart cry to change and put God first means you need to approach Him. And His Holy Spirit is placing the desire in your heart to do just that.

So just come to Him, like a child. He longs to hold you, to comfort you and wrap you and fill you completely in His love.

He is waiting for you to take that one step towards Him and He will lift you up and cleanse you and give you peace. Just ask for forgiveness and your fellowship will be restored.

He has no harsh words for you. He loves you and has missed you coming to Him and spending time with Him. He wants you to know Him as your friend. There is no need to fear failure. He knows you've messed up in the past but that does not change the fact that He loves you and has a plan for you. All He wants my love is YOU. And if you come to Him every day, you'll find each day is better because you're choosing to be with Jesus.

Regarding those things in the world you struggle with. Allow God to deal with those. And He will. The important thing is for you to get to know Him again and as you grow closer and move on, those things will fall away. You'll lose the desire to be involved with them and by being closer to Jesus again you will have the necessary faith and strength to leave them all behind. Cause you would have found all your security in Jesus.

Don't wait until you're perfect, or better, or not struggling with things. Come to Jesus now. Not when you feel you've improved things. He is at your heart's door just open it and let Him in, and feel and enjoy and know the love, peace and security you've been longing for.

Dear Jesus

I confess I have gone my own way and grieved your heart. My sin has caused me to be separated from you and now I long to leave that behind and to put you first. To put you first in everything in my life.
Plese forgive me and come into my life to change me into the person you want me to be.
Thankyou that I have new life in you and I will never be alone, for you promised to be always with me. Help me to come to you every day and teach me your ways.
Thankyou Jesus you have done as I have asked.And now I am God's Child. Amen.

I can really relate to how you are feeling. I get like that to. I am always feeling torn one way and the other. It can be very hard at times. Just remember that God always loves you not matter what. You will be in my prayers. I know that everything will work out for you. Just keep your head up and keep in the Word.

The amazing and wonderful thing is that God doesn't leave us. He's there, gently knocking and guiding and calling you back to Him, otherwise you wouldn't be feeling what you are feeling. Let Him be the everything that He is.

You know.. sometimes it seems that going to the place where we 1st met Jesus is beyond us, but it isn't.. He is always there... He has never left you.. even when we forsake Him, He continues to love us. He loves you and He will help you. The 1st step is wanting the help and it is obvious you desire that relationship w/Him again...

Dear Lord, we thank you for this daughter of Yours who desires to know You and become closer to You. I thank You for calling her to You. Lord I pray you make that desire for You stronger and stronger. I lift her up before You, Lord, asking for the peace, comfort, and love that only You can give. I thank You Lord for your grace and mercy, for allowing us to know You and become your children. Lord, You are awesome, and there is none like you. May you continue to draw her to You, Father. May You show yourself to her, deliver her from the things that are hindering her, the things that may be blinding her from seeing you clearly. I thank You Lord for Your love and for always making a way from what may seem to be no way. Love her, Lord, and guide her.. in the name of Jesus, I thank You for victory. Amen.

Will do, friend. Just to let you know, too, there is a remedy within your grasp. Here's the secret: First, make sure you're attending to the means of grace. Read at least five chapters out of your Bible every night. Don't skip. Go to Bible study each week. Make sure you're getting to church every Sunday. ANd when you socialize, make sure it's with other faithful Christians. It's hard to sin when you're with another Christian.

Equally as important: Spend a LOT of alone time with God. Every spare minute, especially when you are struggling. Read your Bible. Read faithful theologians. Meditate on what you read. Pray, and mean it with your whole soul. Without ceasing. When the temptations come and faith begins to fade, it's because your mind isn't continually in fellowship with the Lord. I'm not kidding-this one element can make or break your faith. But I have faith for better things for you.

Finally, there's one other reason people experience fading faith: what you've learned about God must be put into proactive use for the Kingdom of God. Use it to feed the sheep. I'll lift you up in prayer as well. Friend, please keep us posted.

A good book to read that may help with this: the Purpose Driven Life. I'm reading it right now.

I'll be praying for you and other who also have the same problems. I too fall away from God every now and then. I try to attend church every sunday and wensday if I can. Today (sunday) I didn't go. I try to read the bible every night and I pray every night to Him. I started praying and reading the bible every night since last wensday. A christian girl cry to the Lord in what she saw. She didn't see every one devoting their life to Him. That made me cry and realize the love of God. She came up to me and prayed for me. Days do truely get better the closer you are to the Lord.

Lord help ALostSoul to be closer to you and to gain more understanding of you. Help her see the way. She wants to feel your love and wants to be close to you. May she be shown the life of a true christian. Amen.

I don't know where aLoSTsOuL is in her struggle, but I pray that you bring her closer to you. I pray that you might give her a hunger for your word, and a heart that longs after you. Strengthen her so she can trust in and lean on you in all times and all situations. In the matchless name of Jesus, Amen.

Lord, you know the desire of aLoStsOuL's heart. I pray now that our sister will open her heart to You and to turn her life back over to You, and will allow You be guide her as her Lord and Savior. I pray now that you will give her the strength to make the changes in her life through Your Holy Spirit, that she knows (and that You know) she needs to make. You know what the stumbling blocks are in her life ... help her to focus on You and the knowledge that through You all things are possible. All this I ask in the name of Jesus, AMEN!

Just wanted to let you know that you are still in my prayers.

I saw that someone metioned the book A Purpose Driven Life. That is a great book to read. You can also go online to apurposedrivenlife.com. It is an awesome site.

Another book that helped me throught some hard times and still does is 15 Minutes of Peace Wtih God by Emilie Barnes. It is a great book.
