A simple life is all I ask
Lord, give me grace for the task

Open my eyes so I may see
The beauty that is all around me

Not more of things I ask you give
But in your presence may I live

Problems, hurts and fears remove
Out of my rut and in Your groove

Selfish treasures I lay at Your feet
The smell of alabastar is so sweet

Tears of sorrow for what was done
Tears of joy the work has begun

A simple life is all I ask
Lord, give me grace for the task
