- The Trump administration moved to eliminate the Centers for Disease Control’s Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS), a research program that collects data about people who are pregnant or have recently given birth. It has been running since 1987 and is “the only national survey dataset dedicated to pregnancy and the postpartum period,” according to Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
