When two people tie the knot
Man and woman become one
Singleness it is now done
Two in one unite in love
Work together, be complete
Others’ needs to think about
Not intended to compete
Love each other day by day
Help each other to perfect
How to treat the other one
Now with honor and respect
Learn each other’s little quirks
Learn to bend where it makes sense
Go the distance to show love
And not lies do you invent
Truthful in all that we say
Honest in all that we do
Faithful always to our vows
Which in action we renew
Perfect we’ll not surely be
For our bodies still are flesh
But with God we can be pure
Walking in His righteousness
We submit to God each day
Walk in fellowship with Him
Be obedient to His rules
By His grace not yield to sin
Help each other walk by faith
Sinful lusts to not desire
Live for God as those who’re His
