  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

In my debate on hell, I erroneously claimed that God's greatest attribute is Truth, this is false! God is Infinitely Perfect and thus, has no greatest attribute, all of His attributes equally, infinitely great and perfect. For more on this, see my question regarding this on FishEaters: https://www.fisheaters.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=79810

Please note that the thing I mentioned in the opening post regarding The Number sins beyond which God pardons no more, is a highly disputed controversy among Catholic Theologians, and I'm not going to discuss it at all, as I am no theologian, and no expert when it comes to this stuff.

I still stand by what I said that God, magically making everyone go to Heaven is arbitrary and against His Love, Truth, and mercy, but I'm not going to debate that here. I'm just correcting an error I made in arguing this.

That's all.

Many years ago I was told a very applicable 'bit of advice'. God is bigger than the sum of his attributes. A comment which has a bit of scripture to support it.

2 Chronicles 6:18 But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have built!

An honest evaluation of oneself is truly admirable.

ROM 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

As to your last statement and the measure of faith you have, I do disagree as it falls short of the faith I have. I cannot limit his Love and Truth and mercy as you have done. Therefore I believe it will happen, but I do agree with you on one point, it certainly not going to happen "magically".
