I had a question, for the last several years I have been having a problem with my Verizon cell phone account, they have been ripping me off, charging me over $400/month for my cell phone bill when it was previously only $80/month, there were fraudulent charges on my account put there by a criminal, I have been going back and forth with Verizon for many months trying to get the fraudulent charges eliminated but they refuse to do anything about it, I have been forced to shell out a massive amount of money every month or they would cancel out my cell phone service. My parents want to hire a lawyer and pursue a lawsuit with Verizon. I would like to forgive them but I have to do something to make these charges stop and I also need to be compensated for the money I have shelled out. Is it scriptural to pursue a lawsuit and sue the company for compensation? Should I sue? Thanks!

Question for contemplation: Does God forgive people who don't ask?

Corporations are not people, they're more like money eating animals, lawsuits is a way of restricting their diet.

Before you sue there are two government agencies that might be able to help you. First, the Public Utilities Commission in your state.
Call us at 1-800-692-7380 or contact us online. If you have a problem with a PUC-regulated utility and already tried contacting the company, filing a complaint may be the next step to get the issue resolved.

Complaints - PA PUC

www.puc.pa.gov/complaints/
Yes, they do some regulation of phone service, but in your state (PA?) I can't see if that includes cellular. Secondly, there is the following office. I can't access them from my location so again I do not know if they handle cell service, but they can tell you who does.

If you do file a complaint for resolution with the government be as clear as possible. What did the phone company do wrong, and what is the remedy you are seeking. I once got took by a marketing scam and my state PUC got them to refund all the overbilling on the long distance carrier. God be with you on this! I will say too that God showed me that forgiveness needs to be extended to faceless companies and sometimes even government. This does not mean you do not seek the money you owe but it means that you have to forgive them regardless of the outcome. The act of suing is not to be between Christians. Pursuing your claims seems just to at least try. Your action may prevent others harm.
