Are you saying that because you didn't understand the scientific terminology used, it didn't qualify as scientific evidence?

Religion aside, I cannot believe that a primitive life form can change into a complex one.

Many people could not believe that the Earth moved about the Sun, and yet it did.

Many people could not believe that microscopic organisms, too small to see, caused infectious diseases, and yet they did.

Many people could not believe that light could have both behave like a wave or like a particle, and yet it does.

The mistake is in your assumption that reality conforms to what you are capable or incapable of believing.

Dear Sarah, I would expect nothing less from an avowed Atheist. Scripture tells us that Unbelievers turn things around and call good, evil, and evil, good. Thanks for confirming that your views are directly OPPOSITE of God's. He told us of your thinking, a long time ago. Isa 5:20 God bless you.

In Love,
Aman

Dear Sarah, What happened to old Rick? He wanted to discuss things with an Old Earther and I show that the first day was some 25 Billion years ago, Scripturally. What is he looking for? Maybe for someone to believe his unsupported ideas. He sure did run away quickly. Maybe we should call him Old Speedy Rick. God Bless you.

In Love,
Aman

25 billion years?
Yep. Aman777 asserts that each day of the creation week was 4.5 billion years long in real time. Also, Adam was made on Day 3 and did nothing but sit around and watches Jesus create for something like 9 BILLION years until he was created on Day 6.

The things some people have to make up just to support their beliefs....wow, just wow.

I mean really? Genesis is literal, but one has to make up all kinds non-literal stuff of supposed science that isn't anywhere near science, to support that literal belief. Amazing.

Oh trust me, how old Aman thinks the universe is isn't even close to being one of his best views.

Actually, as far as good and evil goes, I view the bible as overall neutral, in that yes it has inspired hatred and wars, but it also inspires others to be better people.

Ancient peoples predicted that not all people would believe the bible, while being surrounded by many people who did not believe the bible. Am I supposed to be impressed?

You know, the reason I left this forum over a year ago out of utter disgust was the rampant utter nonsense of some members who I believe wished to nothing other than cause trouble. Honest discussion and disagreement is great. Totally off the wall made up stuff is disruptive and frankly does more harm for Christianity than anything. It's a shame that this more than obvious behavior is still rampant here in the science forums of the Christian Forums.

This is also why I am here. I think these people who feel that being dishonest in the name of Christ is the thing to do are doing a lot of damage to Christianity.

This is also why I am here (again). I guess more than anything, it is the lurkers who benefit most, seeing what is foolishness and what is not.

I personally don't aim to change minds, I find it keeps me from going nuts.

It was my hope, and perhaps it may have for a while. When I left I started a new thread expressing my disgust and not being polite about it one bit. Funny thing, I even reported my own post to the moderators. That's how serious I was. They didn't kick me off, I just left. One thing that troubles me is that when I report something I ask for feedback one way or the other. I never hear anything. Oh well, enough on the soap box.

You should have mentioned the FSM, that would get the mods attention.
