This is my question to gay people...

Where I live, I go down to the local store several times a day, and there's this girl that works there, that is a lesbian (I heard her talking about her girlfriend a couple days ago) She is what I would call "butch" or a "dike", a lesbian that looks, acts, walks, talks, dresses like a boy or a man...

My question to gay people is why would a girl want to look, or act like a boy or a man if gender roles and distinguishments mean nothing to you?

That is what is what your guy's influence is asking us straight people to you know, and teaching our children in schools, is that gender roles and distinguishments should mean nothing to us straight folk? Is what your asking of us...?

Comments,

God Bless!

A similar question I've always had towards homosexual men...

They claim that they are not interested in women, but yet a large number of homosexuals embrace effeminate qualities, such as dressing like women, trying to act in a feminine way, wearing lipstick, makeup, painting their nails, and taking on delicate personalities and odd manners of speech.

If Homosexuals were truly attracted to fellow men rather than women... then why all of the effeminate behavior? Why are homosexual men trying to make themselves more woman-like, if they are not attracted to women?

I have no idea. As a homosexual, though non-practicing, I am naturally effeminate. I can't even tell that I am very effeminate. But because the Bible tells that it is wrong to dress like females and wear make up like females, I don't. But people immediately assume, though correctly, that I am gay. But I can't tell that I am.

So she may not be able to tell how she is coming across. It just may seem natural to her. When I talk to a business like CenturyLink, they always call me mam.

Huh. Odd. But then I'd have to say I've only really ever known a couple homosexual people and I could never "figure them out", no offense meant.

I'm glad to hear that you've been trying to practice a Biblical life, though. Nobody is perfect, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't do our best to keep sin out of our lives, with His help.

Homosexuality is perverted sex. Nothing should surprise us when such kind of people behave abnormally exalting carnality!

Not every homosexual is an evil godless heathen, some of them just didn't know any better, and there are some who say they were born that way. I still find it difficult to believe, so I just leave it up to God to sort that out. The best I can do is advise them what the Bible teaches and what they do with their free will is between them and God.

However, Jesus made it clear that we are to treat such people with love and respect as we should with all people, enemies included.

Not condoning their activities but help them to overcome their vice if they agreed that it is so!

Or why does it happen in many gay relationships that one becomes like the "man" and another like the "woman" if gender distinguishments or roles mean nothing to you?

God Bless!

That was basically what I was trying to get at in my earlier post, but I suppose you found a better way to word it than I did.

EDIT: I also want to re-emphasize the fact that I have nothing against gay people and I mean absolutely no offense by anything I say on the subject. I merely feel that homosexual sex is a sin and should be treated like any other sin.

I feel the same way, and couldn't have said it better...

Possibly you won't get an answer from a gay person. So, I will offer what comes to me >

> if a man is interested in men and he sees that women can attract a man, he might try to imitate a woman in order to attract men. A man might not be "able" to connect with females, but still he likes female qualities and so he goes for a man with female imitations.

> not all gays are into having a gender neutral thing.

But if I can't love a woman, so I can share with her tenderly and affectionately, this has nothing to do with sexual ability or preference. I find that love has nothing to do with sexual anything. But there are people whose orientation, really, is for pleasure; and so they can't connect in affection with someone for a tender and caring heterosexual marriage. There might be heterosexual men who can get with women, but it is not tender and caring affection, but using the women and controlling; so, like I say, they can't be tender and caring in their heterosexual marriage, though physically they do get married.

Yet this is what culture and our schools have to teach our children, and for the rest of society (us) to accept... When even some of you homosexuals don't accept it, so why ask us too?

Remember . . . this is our "nondenominational" "Christian" section :) So, you might not get answers here from gays and their sympathizers who are members.

My opinion > there are certain people who can make a lot of noise so they get their faces and voices in the media, and then humans have the tendency to suppose a few people speak for everyone of a certain group of people.

And if the people have a worldly position, possibly they could care less about being reasonable with you, and "logical", about if all gays really feel a certain way about some issue or not. They could care only about getting what they want, and use "all gays" as their claimed reason.

And, "of course", if a politician is mainly a power player, he or she can have a platform position for something which is a major emotional issue for gays or evangelicals, only in order to keep a big bloc of votes >

just say you are in favor of "same-sex marriage", and this can help you get a lot of votes . . . not only of gays but anyone sympathetic with gays.

say you are against abortion and there can be a number of Catholics who will assume you are a person of moral character.

And we can be so busy with what others are doing, that we tidily do not notice how we ourselves need to be honest and fair and reasonable. It is easier to point at someone else.

But I have been getting that if I become really right, now I have compassion on people who are wrong and in trouble of sin >

"He can have compassion on those who are ignorant and going astray, since he himself is also subject to weakness." (Hebrews 5:2)
