So, if I can see the horizon and put a marker there, and then I drive my car past that point, how is this possible?

Not possible. How often do roads reach the Horizon? Not one that I know of goes that far.

More to the point how do you plan to put a marker at the horizon while you are stood far from it to mark it. Just how long are your arms?

If you do need to split yourself in two to be at both places at once, why drive there? To pick yourself up to put yourself back together?

It is a rather outlandish question.

They continue past any visible horizon. Not to mention a flat Earth wouldn't have a horizon anyways.

I guess that you have never driven the Trans Canada Highway through the prairies?

You could sail in the ocean and sail until you see an island on the horizon and consider that your marker. Sail up to the island and see how far past the island you can see. The advantage of that plan is that water seeks its own level, so you don't have to worry about being confused by natural mountains and valleys.

I don't think you've ever reached the horizon.
I have flown at 360 mph and not caught up.
At over 1000 mph one might, but only due to the poor lighting.

Well, if the world is spherical, the horizon would constantly move away from you as you proceded. So that's evidence of a spherical world.

The railing on the ship would have more curve than the earth does.

Incorrect. A horizon is only possible because of a downward curve of a globe...so you see the edge of the planet and the sky...a flat planet has no such thing.
Yes it does. I got an A in geometry. If you stand above any surface, it will have an edge no matter the shape, unless concave.

So, if I can see the horizon and put a marker there, and then I drive my car past that point, how is this possible?

That doesn't make sense in either model.

Instead, you should ask these questions:

1) Water always finds a level, how does it do it around a ball?

2) If outer space is a vacuum, what is holding the atmosphere on earth?!?!?!

3) If a plane travels from point A to point B in the opposite spin of the earth, $$cientists and new$ journali$t$ say it takes the same time as moving back from point B to point A against the spin of the earth. How is that even logically possible?!?!?

Gravity and that it's extremely large ball so small areas will seem to be flat to a person's own perspective.

2) If outer space is a vacuum, what is holding the atmosphere on earth?!?!?!

Same forces that hold atmosphere's on planets we can see are round globes?

Post the link to prove this was said.

Water level is a level of equal gravitational potential. On a spherical earth the centre of gravity is the centre of the sphere which makes the surface of the sphere identical to the level of equal gravitational potential.

2) If outer space is a vacuum, what is holding the atmosphere on earth?!?!?!

A relatively new concept known as "gravity". Google Newton's Law of Gravity. It has been thoroughly confirmed. I have confirmed it myself.

The atmosphere moves with the earth so the aircraft's speed relative to the atmosphere and relative to the earth are the same. If the atmosphere did not move with the earth we would have 1000 mph E to W constant winds at the equator. These winds would decrease towards the poles.
