Im curious on the following;
Whats your take on the liberal state-churches as seen in Scandinavia ?
The same as any other church, really.

The degree to which they differ in teaching and practice from the Christian faith, as revealed in Holy Scriptures, and as rightly explained in the Book of Concord is the same degree to which they are in error.

Specific errors often include the embracing of women's ordination, unrepentant and non-celebate homosexual clergy, non-celebate unmarried clergy, pietism and legalism either of the Left or the Right, failure to recognize and confess the eternal truth and historicity of Scripture, and others.

As in the US, the most basic difference between conservative, Confessional Lutherans and Liberal Lutherans is their view of the accuracy, historicity, and authority of Holy Scripture. Confessional Lutherans use the Historical Grammatical method of Biblical interpretation. Liberals use the Historical Critical method.

One of the worst things that ever happened to the Church as a whole is when Constantine made it part of the government. I can't think of a single example of State Church that isn't heterodox (Heretical-non-orthodox). It would be a great service to the Christian church as a whole if all the State Churches were separated from the government completely. They would suffer from the loss, one would hope, straighten out rather than die out.

Part of the problem with these Churches is that their leadership are often political appointees. In the Church of England this is a serious problem. Add to that, both Charles and his son William demonstrate they are not believers. I could be wrong, as who but God can see into a man's soul. However, James says to look at a person's action to determine what they believe. Neither of these men is fit to be the leader (even if it's just a ceremonial position) of the Church in England. This is common to most State Churches. They are led by politicians, not faithful pastors. Hence, without the leadership of a true believer, the church strays...

They are an example of why theocracy is usually not a good idea. In fact, the LCMS was formed by those escaping such churches.
