This short little verse was inspired by Christopher West's lectures on Pope JPII's Theology of the Body, and by my hopes for my own upcoming marraige (so far unscheduled) to Bjørn Maier-Ellison. I thought of it because of a post of Christy's called "Tears of Joy" - thought I'd share my attempts at putting my faith into verse.
A PRAYER FOR A MARRAIGE
My Lord and God, grant us your grace.
Reap from the love we sow.
Make our two parts into one flesh
so life from love may flow.
Guide us so we, with charity,
return the love were given.
When life has passed, then let us pass
together into heaven.
