First, let's be clear. This election was no landslide. Trump's total popular was about the same as Hillary. However, it is the most important election since 1932,
=============
TRUMP KEEPING HIS PROMISES
Trump has every right to gut HHS, FBI, CDC and the DOJ. The vote and the Supreme Court give him that right. He has every right to deport millions that are here illegally. If the people wanted to prevent that, they should have elected members to Congress who wanted to prevent these actions. Even Obama with his large majorities couldn't pass immigration reform. Complain about separating families if you must. The solution, of course, is for the children to go back to their parent's country with those who came here illegally and committed crimes. Obviously, the government should make this easier to take place and keep better records.

Obviously, the critical need for workers will become obvious in the next four years (as it has for so many countries), but thanks to Biden, that isn't an issue for today.

An obvious result of this election will be the choice of the people to allow the FBI and DOJ to be put under the direct control of the president.

THESE APPOINTMENTS ARE NOT OK
Appointing folks with zero experience to head Defense and Intelligence is NOT acceptable. These folks must understand defense and intelligence, evaluate the ifo from the various groups under them and then make recommendations to the president. I suppose an aleternative at Defense would be a corporat head to manage this 1 million employee set of organizations.

Some think that it is a national security risk to have Trump as president. Naah! We made a choice. Folks like Rubio will represent us to the world.

The national security risks occur when Trump doesn't have enough information to make the choices he needs to make. We had that situation when Bush relied on Cheney. The folks at Defense and Intelligence are much more dangerous.

Sez you. Trump can pick experienced people who are bound to get in his way at some point, or he can pick know-nothing yes-men who will obey his every whim. He tried it the first way last time, and it didn't work out for him. He just kept firing everybody (except Ben Carson). This time he needs to get the people he can trust to do whatever he wants. People willing to sacrifice themselves for their boss if necessary. People who won't worry about what can or can't be done, but who will tell their staff what Donald wants to do and how soon Donald wants it done.

Loyalty to Trump is what counts the most in these appointments.

I find it unbelievable that we are now actually in this situation where people like Matt Geatz and Robert Kennedy are being given such tremendous responsibility.

Yes, it is a new day ! Thank goodness we no longer have to suffer under the draconian style government that sensors speech and leads the people in wrong direction. Thank Goodness we will once again obtain peace through strength.

How so? The latest data says Trump got 50.1% of the vote, and Harris got 48.2%.

How, exactly, is that a landslide?
It is a movement based on hyperbole.

I can appreciate concerns folks have with Trump. But the alternative was far worse given what was happening with our border. As a senior citizen I could probably get by with either choice, but for my grandchildren the sovereignty of our nation was at stake and we were on our way to a European type socialism.

What are we on our way to now? Idiocracy?

I agree, Harris was no good choice either. But with Trump we are heading into unimaginable territory.
I can't wait to see what he gives to Marjorie Taylor Greene

Who are these "know-nothing yes-men"?

Besides all the illegals voting for Harris?

His massive lead in the Electoral College, his winning every single swing State and the GOP taking the Senate and keeping the House.

What, precisely, is going on at the border? Please provide an answer that is substantiated by actual data and facts.

And let's say there is indeed a problem at the border. Surely you must realize that this is not the only consideration that should inform a citizen's vote

The cold hard fact of relevance is this: Trump got only slightly more votes than Harris. This single, simple brute fact undermines a claim that there has been a landslide.

Of course Trump won every swing state! But let's say the difference in each state was only one vote. No reasonable person would suggest this indicates a landslide.

And yes, he won the electoral college by a substantial margin. But the electoral college is a construct that, for good or for bad, does not accurately reflect how popular Trump was in the general population versus Harris.

And with respect to this notion of illegal voting for Harris, how many of them did this, and what is your source? You wouldn't be just speculating, would you?

I'm expecting roles for Yosemite Sam and Wile E Coyote next

What a freak show, the world is laughing at what is happening in the US right now. Correction: we laugh when we are not gripped with fear as to how the dark age that is about to dawn will spread its ominous tendrils beyond your borders.

Then again - perhaps we will see a shift from propaganda to actual reporting.
Do you mean reporting of actual facts such as the consumption of household pets by monsters from South of the border? Or that an election was stolen without a scintilla of evidence to support the claim?

And on which side - Democrat or Republican - was Kellyanne Conway with her infamous "alternate facts"

Please. At least make it believable.

I’ve been asking for seven years that the propagandist would at least make it believable.

There is a reason why they are loosing millions and millions in revenue.

People just don’t find them believable. They have over played their hand.

Which ones, in particular, are you referring to here?

Pete Hegseth:
Princeton and Harvard graduate (with post-graduate degrees in public policy)
Deployed to the middle east for two separate conflicts when in the rank of Captain
Promoted to Rank of Major in the US army (where he received two bronze stars and an army commendation medal)
Served as a Platoon Leader at Gitmo
Senior instructor at the Counterinsurgency Training Center in Kabul

Mike Waltz:
Degree in international studies
26 years in the military
Former Green Beret and Special Forces Colonel (awarded 4 bronze stars)
Worked at the Pentagon as a Defense Policy Director under Donald Rumsfeld

Are their credentials wildly out of whack with predecessors who've held those same roles?

Based on the some of the articles I've read, it seems like people are both
A) Treating "Trump likes them" as a negative credential
B) Choosing to focus on everything but their actual credentials to portray them as "wild picks"...thus the reason you see articles referring to them exclusively "Fox News Host Pete Hegseth" and "Republican congressman and China Hawk Mike Waltz", as if those are the only things they're known for or all they bring to the table.
