And this case, "of" the world.
Back this with scripture. There is nothing either secular or Christian about the system Erwin has chosen. You cannot show that openness and accountability are bad according to scripture. It does force Christians to be in the world but nowhere are we told any different.
Unless one has a liberal view of marriage.
I am a staunch conservative. Marriage is right between a man and a woman and wrong between members of the same sex but it is still marriage. Wrong marriage does not make it not marriage. I don't have a liberal view of marriage at all. But forcing people to divulge their personal life on a forum isn't right either. Wrong or not marriage is still marriage.
Yet there's this new direction that goes against scripture in some manners.
You claim that but offer no proof. You can say it all day long, heck you can scream it fro your roof, it doesn't make it true. Not one shred of evidence has been offered to show where any of the new policies are against scripture.
And this is where people are turning to Erwin's interpretation.
It's been the site's definition since day one or many, many Protestant groups would be excluded on the baptism clause alone. By the way do you agree with the creed as originally written, or amended with the flioque, or amended by CF?
You tell that to your newly sworn in mods....if they have time to read your PM.
LOL...They said that about the political forums. And where is that area now?
Assertion with absolutely no proof. Erwin clearly states there will be rules. Yet you keep insisting it will be chaos. It will be at first while the changes are made. It will settle down and run like a forum after that. Changes this drastic always cause some chaos. I doesn't matter what system Erwin chose there would be chaos at first. As it stands he is listening to the community as a whole from here on out. I fail to see how this is a bad thing.
I feel the same towards you. It is a sincerely bad witness to go with the flow of those that do not uphold God's Word for the mere sake of democracy. I can imagine how someone could be offended easily. It's never comfortable when someone thinks other than you do. My feelings about these new changes are not rare in and of themself. Give it time.
I am not easily offended nor am I a liberal. I am a former staff member who is familiar with the abuses, deconversions, and other atrocities under the old system. Not all staff were participants but they did happen. Openness and accountability to the membership will solve these problems.
Hey, if I was an atheist on this forum I would be in a good mood, too. Been to News and Current Events lately? Well, how about Ethics and Morality?
I am a conservative Christian and fully support these changes. I am also happy right now. I do not think being unhappy gives us license to spew vitriol in the name of trying to keep in line with Biblical methods when nothing in scripture is being violated.
You show me the love there.
I don't have to go outside of this thread right now. I can show you 10s of examples of so called Christians spewing venom on this thread alone. That is my concern. I don't really care how the atheists have acted in the past here. I have been staff and know that a good majority of the behavior was because they were treated like second class people and those abusing them were not only protected by staff but encouraged to do so in some cases. I care about how people who claim to follow Christ are spewing vitriol in this thread and spouting false claims. I have no call to correct atheists but I am told in scripture to correct my brothers and sisters in Christ. Over half the NT is just that.
