Actualy,Jehovah's witnesses take the bible and Jesus's teachings very seriously,and I have never heard of any violent act by them.

Well, you guys don't know me from Adam, so I'll only offer you a nickle's worth of free advice once -- it ain't worth it.

Really.

Quitting a job you like, leaving a board you enjoy, settling old scores, picking new fights, spouting off in a moment of fear and anger.

Just quit it. It's not worth it. It hurts you, inside. It makes you less than who you really are. It will leave you with regrets, uncertainties, and remorse for a long, long time.

Just stop... chill for a minute. Don't freak out, the world hasn't ended. But certain friendships and relationships may be teetering right on the edge of ending.

It ain't worth it, guys.

You just contradicted yourtself. You can't say "you're wrong, because..." without at least explicitly implying "you're not a Christian" and that violates Erwin's "Related to the above, if you believe you are a Christian, you are."

Now, will people argue that God is female? Yes. Will people argue that the Holy Spirit is the feminine attribute of God? Yes. But there's not much of an argument for Christ being female, IMO.

If you really feel that way, and weren't just acting out of anger or fear or a sense of betrayal, then you did the right thing, IMO.

You have to do what's right for you.

Others may feel differently. They may want to stay and fight for what they feel is right, for what has become a home to them.

I hope that the two groups won't cut ties with each other. I hope the friendships and respect which have been forged over the years will remain untarnished.

Erwin's broken our trust. He's destroyed something we've put a ton of work into on a whim and replaced it with a mockery of what it once was. It's his site, so it's his decision to make in the end, I just work here - and that's about all I really feel up to trying to change.

Oh, the only reason I don't stand and fight at CF is because I have a perfectly good forum with sane rules and protocol that I administrate, and it's thriving right now. I don't need to waste my time here if CF is going down the crapper.

I just remember how things used to be,and you can not deny that I am correct,that resignations were used as a blackmail before..I said it,in hope it will not happen this time,and Erwin will get to do what he listed in his announcement

Seriously. Sometimes people just say there's something here I can't work to support and so I'll be leaving staff now.

I know of some reasons why people would run,because I know what stuff used to go on up there,and I am too sceptical to believe it had changed.

I'm guessing when you left staff standing up for what you believed in that was different, though, correct? Because your reasons were really good and ours aren't. Or something.

I actualy left the staff for a very personal reason, I disagreed with many things whilst on staff,and would had eventualy left anyway,because I hated what I was expected to do-police type work,I disliked what it was doing to me,as I felt torn between wanting to serve members,and loyalty to mods I really liked,I did not like the rules,the hierarchy,and the reasons people who would make great mods were rejected.I voiced my concerns in the mods forum,but it was no use.

Every point in the Erwin's post echoes why I left ,but the reason was personal.Sadly,I am not a hero who stood up for their beliefs.

I understand that you want to stay true to what you believe in,but I also think,fear is behind many resignations.

Way to take people's heartfelt concerns and twist them. If you feel patronised it's only because you're choosing to be.

Dang. You know what? I like this. I no longer have to care if you're offended by what I've written. Being off staff is actually quite fun.

God works in ways we cannot even begin to fathom, so we do have to trust.

I have difficulty seeing how removing the Christian-only section and opening the forum to anyone can possibly be a good thing, and make this site more Christ-like. Despite what some may think, it is possible to define exactly what one must believe to be a Christian:

1. That the Universe was created by God.

2. That the Bible is the reliable Word of God.

3. That we are all sinners who are destined to go to hell.

4. That God came to earth as Jesus Christ and promised that if we repent of our sins, and ask God as the Holy Spirit to guide us through for the rest of our existence according to His will, that we will have eternal life and a place with Him in Heaven.

If you are a Christian, you will willingly do the following:

'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'

The ultimate question is: what characteristics should a Christian Internet site have if it is to introduce the greatest number of people in the world to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to make them committed and active Christians for the rest of their lives?

So will this new format provide the answer? Or will the name of this Forum be a lie?

That's the whole point.

Why would saying "you're wrong" mean "you're not a Christian?" It doesn't make sense. If that was true, there wouldn't be debate forums on CF.
