Sleeping sounds like a wonderful idea.
Then I can catch up on the dozen or so more thread continuations that have spawned
Everyone who's upset - think about giving it a chance before leaving? It's probably not going to be as bad as you think.
This is got to be one of the quickest thread rolls in CF
Everything you said was correct. None of it will be compromised.I am adamantly opposed to removing "Christian only" sections.
Also: the Nicene Creep was a valid and well thought out indicator.
Allowing anyone into the Christian Only section may cause the Christians a great deal of Grief.
Mormons, JWs, everyone.
And we can't denounce someone as non-Christian anyway.
Even if they are blatantly non-Christian.
So now, anyone can just say they are a Christian.
No more sense of murual agreement.
I also dislike the removal of warnings.
I liked warnings.
I got a lot of warnings, check my record.
But they were useful and were important.
Moderators should not be chosen by the community.
I like the way it is now.
I don't want to win a popularity contest to become a moderator.
Not as quick as resignations in the staff fora.
How will those things not be compromised when:Everything you said was correct. None of it will be compromised.

1: Where exactly did I say the trinity was a figment of imagination?
2: My church is a nicene creed accepting church.
3: However the creeds are merely human formulations of our understandings of God not the Word of God itself.
How will those things not be compromised when:
There will be no Christians-only fora. Even if the members of a sub-forum state that they only want Christians posting there, how will you even tell now?
How is mutual agreement not being compromised when it is now being said that "Christian" is a term you can attach to yourself at will, no matter what you actually believe?
Did you even read his post?
Exactly, but it actually needs to be iron.Iron sharpens iron.
Can you clarify what you're actually referring to? It may be just that it's 3:20 am here, but I'm really not following exactly what point you're trying to make.I think iron is also sufficient to sharpen copper or brass. Know what I mean?
Only if they are the same core beliefs. And they actually have to be able to be defined as what they are. Only certain things are iron...only certain things are Christian. It means that your iron can sharpen the faith of those who have softer metals in their beliefs.
Yes - those Christians whose faith is strong might have to come to the aid of some weaker Christians at times, but that is what we are called to do anyway in real life, too.It means that your iron can sharpen the faith of those who have softer metals in their beliefs.
The one core Christian belief is following the teachings of Christ, not following some list of doctrines.Only if they are the same core beliefs. And they actually have to be able to be defined as what they are. Only certain things are iron...only certain things are Christian.
Define "strong in faith" according to the new CF guidelines. There is no longer any definition to what that faith is, so "strong in faith" is now completely up in the air. Get my drift?Yes - those Christians whose faith is strong might have to come to the aid of some weaker Christians at times, but that is what we are called to do anyway in real life, too.
