Well, ACTUALLY, lol, I have laid low on the construction. We had two of hubby's family members to dinner last night and he did the meat prep and cooking and shooed me out of the kitchen whenever I tried to work. I've not been 'working' out in the addition for about a week now. Saturday I cleaned the house and did some organizing and lots of seasonal decorating instead. I intended to sew (funny you should suggest that!) yesterday, but didn't feel well enough for even that! TODAY however, and here is why I am laughing, I had a list of errands to run and was so befuddled when I left the doctor's office that I came home instead! Soooo, I calmed down.....and went shopping!! LOL I shopped for the addition. I had a great time. I took my time and allowed myself to just relax and enjoy myself. It was fruitful too, lol. Hubby said, uhhh, ok less shopping, more working! Haha. He liked the stuff too.

But that's why I said God worked there today. Despite being upset about the news, I was able to really relax. And that's a great blessing!

I need to just take it day by day and trust the doctor when she said not to be anxious.

Yes, Cremi, I am blessed. More than anyone can know.
Thanks, friends! For the prayers especially!

I was 45 when I had my first by-pass, so age isn't an issue....Hope everything goes well with you and will be praying for rapid healing for you.....

Oh, thanks for letting me know! I'm a bit shocked that a blockage seems to be a real possibility! I'm not sure I like the idea of 'first by-pass' though!

That's exactly what I was going to suggest, a TTT. Good for your MD. Is she looking for dysautonomia/mitral valve issues? Has she mentioned that disorder? The tentative results of the EKG are, of course, an issue - the BP fluctuations have the potential to create blockages (but it's truly unlikely at your age) - but you also may be low on fluids, and that's affecting test results.

Had a nap. Have another headache. I guess I'll take my meds and lie down for a bit.

I was wondering if you get headaches. What meds are you on?

Well, yeah - you've got some pretty distracting things going on in your body. Don't be too hard on yourself. I did the agoraphobia sentence (it really is like a prison, isn't it?) for a long time.

I keep coming back to the BP issues. The TTT will give a lot of answers for that. Have the doctors found (or suggested) the definitive cause? Are they assuming it's a blockage?

How long has all this been going on?

I had an echo...no mitral valve. I was checked for that years and years ago too.

My PSVT started when I was 16. This recent stuff happened in the hospital. I had a PSVT flare up twice in twenty minutes, paged the nurse and explained it. I had an EKG in no time, was moved to the heart floor and the doc was there talking to me....

BTW, they misprinted on my EKG that I was 76 not 46 (everybody just BE QUIET!), LOL. But when I went for the second surgery a guy in the holding area looked at it and said "Good EKG for a 76 yr old, but not for a 46 yr old" Great, just knock me out now! haha!

I do have a fluids problem since the surgery. I try to keep on top of it, not always successfully. I have a case of gatorade here bc of it.

I don't know that it is the BP fluctuations that make her think blockage (but it is what my mom thought) but rather the EKG itself. She didn't show me where and explain that one. She went in detail about the electrical problem though. It's very obvious to see. Not sure yet if I am going to need an ablation for that or not.

I am on toprol xl, only 25 mg. She prescribed it when I was discharged. But I was supposed to go back almost 3 months ago. You know, ignoring a problem makes it go away.....NOT. She doubled it. But she isn't giving me a 50 mg. Even though it is extended release she wants me to take a 25 in the morning and a 25 in the evening. She is trying to keep it as steady in my bloodstream as possible.

She's holding off on the tilt table to see if I respond to the medication change. I think she may be on to something bc she asked quite a few questions (I like her mind!!) and after I thought about it realized most of the lightheadedness was happening within 6 hours of my next dose being due.

Yes, agoraphobia is like a prison sentence. It wasn't fun, and it can strain so many aspects of your life like work and relationships.

Does it have anything to do with your sinus nodes? Or electrical?

Do you have palpatations?

Blessings

Dallas

My problems are largely in the ventricle. When the PSVT flares up, I have palpitations. I am not noticing any problems with this latest electrical problem she diagnosed. It's pretty much continually firing wrong!

On the whole third line of the EKG the little blips are supposed to go up, 9 out of 10 of mine go down, some of them pretty far....

Oh, and I'm looking at a good site for explaining EKGs and I forgot another one....I have an axis shift. Now I'll have to have her tell me which one!

This sounds like my mothers condition. They call it an "electrical storm". You actually have seconds of "firbillation" where your heart is not pumping. Its kinda just jiggling around.Blood can back up and cause conjestion. All kinds of things.

Ill get the information on her.We live in Dallas and she had to INSIST on these test. And it included a monitor at home that would record when these episodes happened.

It was captured on this monitor and she "phoned it in".

I want t call it A-ventrical fibrilation...something

Oh honey, before you have an ablation, please go to this site and ask about it:

http://www.potsplace.com/

They have active forums there, and there's a lot of info on BP issues and what they can do to your body.
