secular song: The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole. No matter who else has covered this song, nobody can touch his version. Pure Gold

religious song: O Holy Night. There are many versions of it I enjoy, but one of my favorites is Martina McBride's take on it. She has such a beautiful voice.

Aye, very rarely does an artist write their own Christmas song.

I think those old jazz singers from the big-band era are probably the best at doing religious Christmas songs. Nice and classy like they should be. Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and such singers like that.

hmm..probably the Do They Know It's Christmas one. just a good song. Also the Goo Goo Dolls one "Better Days" is not really played alot for Christmas but a friend turned me onto this song.Go listen-

Truth be told, I don't listen to Christmas music during the month of December. I avoid it as much as possible. There's almost nothing on Earth more annoying because it's practically EVERYWHERE, like total overkill. It's not that I don't like Christmas music, I am a collector, I do love it a lot! It's just that in December it's total overkill. Why should it be restricted to December???!!!?? A better month for it is June, late June!

That's awesome that someone mentioned this one.... I love this song!!!!! I barely ever hear it, it's so good, methinks!

Christmas in July is yuckily cliche but.....

if I'm not gonna listen in December, 'tis as good a time as any, I s'pose....

This one makes me despise Christmas. Makes me want to give away everything I own to help people in need, people who aren't in the U.S. with cell phones and video games and obesity.

This one should be required watching on Christmas Day, along with the various edits of it that are found on Youtube which all portray the same message of human rights abuses as well as extreme poverty.
