John F. Kerry: "I believe we can fight a more effective, more thoughtful, more strategic, more proactive, more sensitive war on terror that reaches out to other nations and brings them to our side."
I am writing this to military members, not as a debate post, but as a warning. Vietnam was fought with the sensitive in mind. We all know that we could have won Vietnam if we had committed forces en masse, instead of piecemeal and had not had the red tape of Washington holding out military back. What I am getting at is this: in Vietnam, we learned two valuable lessons:
1) limited war does nothing but get your own men killed. (we must apply overwhelming and precise force- done in Iraq twice)
2) limit the ability of the enemy to broadcast propoganda. (we did this moderately well from the 80's until OIF (operation iraqi freedom))
Today, they have Al Jezeera publicizing "American autrocities" with dark skinned people with turbins dressed in American uniforms. They also have the militants dressing in civies to make it look like we are killing civilians, when in fact this war has been the cleanest regarding collateral damage- but many in the American public buy into the propoganda. They have Iraq labeling buildings as "baby milk factories", when in fact they are military porduction facilities.
Do a search on Google for "Baby milk factory" and note the first row of images (I can not post links yet, otherwise I'd post links)
This is an attempt to do what was done in Vietnam by the VietCong- turn the American people against the war and our soldier's efforts.
Kerry wants to revert to old ways and old mistakes. He wants us to fight a sensitve war. I am very afraid of this man and what he will do to our ranks if he takes office. The military will be in grave danger if he wins. When his hand will be forced (and it will be), I am afraid for what will happen in regards to terrorism in the US, the weapons in North Korea and Syria and the potential weapons in Iran.
Again, this is for the military service-men and women. I am not trying to start a political debate, but to inform the military of the US of this issue that directly affects their lives.
God bless you,
