Meals provide nourishment for bodies and give opportunity for generosity, plus for meaningful fellowship and building relationships that make for effective and powerful ministry! Also would help get peoples' eyes off themselves and their own troubles and onto blessing others in their trying circumstances.

In the Biblical times, especially in that region of middle east having a meal together signified big friendship and trust.
