Something else I feel obligated to point out: Because that thread is in PRE, we are not allowed to debate in it. Everyone who's already posted seems to run the risk of receiving a warning of some sort for violating that forum-specific rule.

I have a couple of questions:


1) I don't see that I would warrant a warning for what I posted as it wasn't argumentative remotely and merely linked to an article that handles the OT Scriptures pertaining to the discussion the OP began... and she said she has been delving into the OT, which is why she asked in the first place.

And 2) Uh... can a Messianic in this forum not also be a Protestant Evangelical as well? On the one hand, I am Protestant and Reformed to the highest degree IMO (I feel the Reformers by and large stopped way short of where they needed to go), and definitely Evangelical. I attend a non-denominational church. I guess I also think that the "Charismatic" forum encompasses many types and groups within Christianity -- I was a CHarismatic Catholic, a Charismatic AG, a Charismatic [4] church member, and although we left much of the mania behind, we are still very much Charismatic (as in full-Gospel, gifts as well as fruit of the Spirit) non-denominational Messianic believers. I realize we are way too much of a mixed-bag for most people. But we are certainly still Protestant in the larger meaning of the word, reformed (and Reformed in some of our doctrine) and, as I said, most certainly Evangelical. Not that it matters, I suppose; my forum home is here with the Messianics (yes, unfortunately for you all, yer stuck with me) but I guess I am just curious.

So, basically, you're a member of every group represented in the congregational area?

Actually, when it comes right down to it, you're going to be judged based on your faith icon, as that will be seen as how you truly label yourself. So, if you're sporting a Torah scroll and decide to argue in PRE, you'll probably get into a little trouble.

If you take the time to read any forum specific rules in any of the faith/denominational forums and adhere to those while visiting you will rarely go wrong.

I happen to know that the Charismatic forum is an "icon free" zone as it is their belief that there are charismatics of numerous denominations.

But, again, as we often caution new posters to our forum - read the rules on the forum you are visiting before posting LOL

Well actually

I am a messiainic Gentile

I pastor a Messiainic congregation on Shabbat
I am a member of a Charismatic Mennonite church
And I preach regularly as a fill in at a Calvanist Presbyterian church

Umm

Now I think the only place I am not really welcome to debate is OBOB
but I am waiting for a deal to come through from Rome any day now!
