  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I never feared before that day
the darkening cloud that rumbled doom
The growling black won't come my way,
I mused all comfy in my room.

The blackened sky I should have seen
if only I'd more watchful been
The day the claw lashed out at me
and crushed all I had trusted in.

It seemed so brief yet I recall
the precious keepsakes I had hung
As in slow motion from the wall
were slashed and clawed, ripped and slung.

In helpless horror sharp debris
once sacred, flew and slit my throat
Then tore the heart right out of me
the angry storm's triumphant note.

Somehow I caught the bleeding pump
and swallowed it in hopes I'd live,
I cried to God, then heard it thump
and now this warning I must give.

Oh watch to whom you pledge your heart
avoid a hot, quick-tempered friend
Whose wrath can tear your soul apart
the oh-so-easy to offend.

 everhope, Sounds very grieving what you went through! To sincerely pour much heart out on someone, who then turns into a wolf. :( Think sometimes people do not know how to receive true love, so instead of being receptive or at least kind, they lash out with the extreme opposite. We are Divine vessels of love through whom God brings healing! Christ, the Light of the world, lives in us and light surely repels darkness. Angry people are wounded and very defensive. However, love is greater, so with wisdom from above keep letting Jesus love others through you! He will reward you with an abundant harvest for all that you have sown!

Psalm 34:18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Isaiah 53:4 Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

1 Peter 2:19-24 For it is commendable if a man bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because he is conscious of God...if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in His steps. "He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in His mouth." When they hurled their insults at Him, He did not retaliate; when He suffered, He made no threats. Instead, He entrusted Himself to Him who judges justly. He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed.

1 Peter 4:12-13 Dear friend...do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed.

May the love of our Heavenly Father mend your heart and make it brand new! May Jesus fill you with such exceeding joy! And may the comfort of His Holy Spirit wrap you in transcending peace!:amen:
