My name is Erika Robinson & yes, as u can c from my title, i have autism...i was officially diagnosed w' asperger's, but some of my side effects don't fit in, so i think i may have some asd mixed in...i don't attend church (cuz the lights, crowd, noise, etc overwhelms me) & i can only understand the literal parts of the bible (& not even all of that)...i also don't have or know of anyone who can or is willing 2 help me study the bible & even if i did, there r so many interpretations, i wouldn't know what 2 believe...even thou autism does bring u closer 2 the spiritual world (god, angels, etc), i can't recognize his presence (except until after the fact), voice (including warning signs in general), or his answers even thou i'm a strong believer...i also don't know when i'm sinning, unless things r written down/listed & defined...i'm hoping that by being here, i can learn of some ways 2 recognize god & hopefully build a better relationship w' him & get 2 know others from here as well (i've had problems w' every relationship that i had & that includes that w' my parents)...so basically, i am on my own w' no support - even from those in my community...so, i thought i'd try 2 find some like-minded people -- people who have an open mind & don't disregard others 4 their values, beliefs, etc...anyway, that's me in a nutshell (religious -wise)...

i'm definately interested in finding out what life is like 4 u as an aspie - ur religious side as well as general, cuz some of mine r opposite of what the symptoms r - like when it comes 2 sensory issues, religious issues, etc...i think that i may have some asd mixed in as well, but i'm not sure...in other words i was diagnosed full aspie, but some things just don't fit...now i c y they say it's not a 1 size fits all kind of deal...

In general it has been bad, i can't socialize like 'normal' people so i'm ignored a lot or misunderstood the same for being a christian a lot of what people say to me to do in the christian life i can't understand it very well because i think differently and sometimes i pass as stubborn or something when in reality i just don't get it the same way.

Not being able to 'connect' with people is really bad, sometimes i feel separated from the rest.

Hi I want to recommend to you to get a study bible for one that has good notes that explain the verses well. I also recommend a church in Oklahoma called Cornerstone Fellowship that post their services on Youtube. The pastor on that channel explains the Bible excellently and helps you to understand it. I am going through his videos on Revelation and the Olivet Discourse (Matt 24, Luke 21) now and I have learned so much.
