  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A great lesson that helped me.

When your a teen and in High School your always concerned about what people may think of you. for me I wasn't a Christian until college but it was very hard for me to open up and share my faith in God. I read the story of elijah and how he stood before Israel and the priests of the baal and ashura and as he stood there *mocking* them saying yell louder perhaps your God is asleep and needs to be woken up. He wasn't afraid of standing in faith because he did not see the masses he looked only towards the Creator, as the bible says in Matthew fear not he who can kill the body but not the soul but rather fear he who can destroy the body and cast your soul into hell. Once you get the state of mind that you are a warrior for Christ and you could be the only person who can save they're souls. If you pay attention to the story elijah asks them to fill up four barrels of water and dump them on the wood 3 times. if you do the math 4*3 = 12 which represents each tribe of Israel elijah was pooring they're sins onto the alter for he knew God would break they're hearts and repent. it was Elijah's Love for the Lord and His Love for the lost is what made him so powerful for the Lord.

I pray that your able to stand strong before your friends and classmates and share your believes with them so that they may be saved.
