A girl named Soo

Ok...

I was speaking at a church in western Maine, and at potluck afterwards somebody showed me a copy of a letter that somebody else had written to 3ABN regarding a girl named Soo. She claims to have spoken with an angel, has apparently been directed by the angel to the SDA church, and to contact some big names in our evangelism circle (Cox, Finnley, Doug B...), and apparently has even made some "predictions".

I'm doing my own research, but I'm interested in hearing what you - my brothers and sisters in the church - have heard/know/believe/don't believe/whatever regarding this girl.

She was to contact Mark Finley, Ron Halverson, Kenneth Cox, Doug Batchelor...Soo has met these men, I have photographs of them with her to prove it, but the language barrier and her lack of understanding of the angel’s message about coming events may have prevented her from giving them the full story and them from truly understanding about the angel’s visit."

Seems to me that with something as important as "hey I met an angel and he gave your name" that someone somewhere would resolve any languagre issues.

If no one out there can handle that, there must be a job for me in CA cause I can think of a few sollutions...

Sis sorry I am not feelin it either. This sounds to much like something out on the fringes of Adventism. Seeing that we attended the GC session in St. Louis and nothing was said about it suggests to me that this is not likely to be something that mainstream Adventism will be endorsing.

I will do a bit more research on the issue.

Yeah, I don't even speak her language and I could have cleared up that little problem.

It's fairly large so I'm still combing through it.

Here is a response to the whole story from the Pres. of Uchee Pines Institute, where she was supposed to have gone.

May I also add, it would be prudent to review and research the material that you receive from others, before distributing it to anyone who would not know what to look for in the material that is not promoted by the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.

Well, the very first two things I did were express my ignorance and ask for help changing that. This seemed a good place to reach a lot of Adventists at once.
