yep
Germany 1966 on way to collect officers from their homes
to bring-them into the Regimental Camp
They were 90 minutes late
I had a 'spare' that was fine in the boot
but valve was faulty under-pressure [passengers loaded]
They, had to wait at the roadside
while I fetched another car

Yes but not while I was driving the car was parked.

I'd gotten about 2/3rds through the cup
to SEE a 'tea scum' ring 'ALIVE' and all-around the cup

HYE been invited to a meal...
where the food didnt TASTE as good as it looked
and.... it didnt look [or, WASN'T] COOKED ENOUGH ?

I don't think so.

We have seen them in hospitals and hotel rooms but we generally take our own Bibles with us when we travel.

Mustard Gas.. Lewisite.... and a couple of,
other, deadly 'concoctions'
Handing it in, at a local police station as LOST-PROPERTY
they gave me a receipt.... but said:
"you wont be wanting it back, if it remains unclaimed will-you?"

a £5 note

He gave me, 'change' of, £20

I IMMEDIATELY opened my hand, and asked him, to check it again

I then reminded him that I had given him, only £5

He heaved a 'sigh of relief'
smiled, and said, "THANKS MATE!"

This, is, 'just my way!' where, advantage-taking, is not!
