A Few Promises God made that apply ONLY to His Children:

1) "Shall NEVER perish" John 3:16

2) "Shall NEVER thirst" John 4:14

3) "Shall NEVER be judged" John 5:24

4) "Shall NEVER hunger" John 6:35

5) "Shall NEVER taste of death" John 8:52

6) "Shall NEVER be forsaken" Hebrews 13:5

7) "Shall NEVER be moved" Psalm 15:5; 55:22

8) Shall NEVER be seperated from the love of God Romans 8:38,39

Romans 8:38-39 - I have become absolutely convinced that neither death nor life, neither messenger of Heaven nor monarch of earth, neither what happens today nor what may happen tomorrow, neither a power from on high nor a power from below, nor anything else in God's whole world has any power to separate us from the love of God in Jesus Christ our Lord!

For further blessing see I John 5:11-13; Phil. 1:6; I Cor. 1:8,9; John 17:2;
John 10:27-29, John 6:35,40,47,50,51

Amen, and ya know these are some very very precious promises. Promises that should speak to all Christians in a very special way. It is sad that more people do not frequent this forum to share in these promises from God. I mean, of course, to share in discussing these promises.

I also wish more of our Christian brothers and sisters visited this particular forum. I have noticed it does seem to be growing, not very quickly though. So I guess maybe sometimes the sweetest fruits take a little longer to grow. And when they do grow they grow even stronger than they would have, if they had been grown too quickly.

Yes! I agree. I also wish they would share from their hearts what God has given them, rather than touting the teachings of others. I can visit websites and turn on the Radio or TV or buy books to hear what others have to say. But I believe God speaks to ALL His children. Those are the things I would like to see more of.

We are all accustomed to promises. We are also familiar to seeing them made and broken. Anyone who has lived for a number of years would certainly never lay claim to having kept every single promise they made. There are many reasons why this is true. Sometimes we forget, sometimes we are negligent, and sometimes it may be due to circumstances beyond our control.

But with the promises of God its a different story. They are so true and you can stand on them.

Though, I try, I do not always answer individually every reply to a thread I start. Nevertheless I want to take this time to say thanks for this message.

It is so true that ALL humans will let you down,But Jesus never ever will.
Isn't it comforting to know that Jesus will never forget or fail to make good on ALL His promises, and that there is no power in existence that can seperate us from His Love!

As a human, I will simply have to forgive the promises not delivered to me by fellow humans and ask in return that they also forgive my many failures!

May He give us His Grace to forgive and seek forgiveness from our "Family" members!

More about God’s promises to us:

He has promised to supply every need we have . The Bible says: "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus". That's Phillipians 4:19. Now notice, God has obligated Himself only to the extent of our needs . That would include food, clothing, shelter, companionship, love, and salvation thru Jesus Christ. It would not include the multiplicity of luxuries that we have come to think of as needs.

I have to agree with You here Gerry! I enjoy reading the more personal experiences, and the things people write through the Spirit. Things the Lord gives us to share freely, rather than something that has been copy written, and is just dug up from somewhere else that we can already find it.

I like to see how God is working personaly in someones life, and see the things he shows them. Rather than someone bringing me the teachings of another.

This is so true. NEEDS! Not cars boats and luxury airplannes, UNLESS they are needful for the ministry.

God did not promise us perfect health. I don't have it. Neither did Paul, although the so called Faith healres of today say that is Paul's fault because he didn't have enough faith. All Paul had to do was "name it and and claim it"! More nonsense! God NEVER made any such promise. NEVER! Not anywhere. Rather God said "My Grace is sufficent for thee".

My health is not perfect, and I have few luxuries. But I have all I NEED to love and serve Jesus! And HE has provided ALL my NEEDS!

Blessed be the Name of the Lord!

God has promised that His grace is sufficient for us .
2 Corinthians 12:9 _And he said unto me,My grace is sufficient for thee : for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

In fact, He has made provision for our salvation by His grace through faith.

Ephesians 2:8 _For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

It is through an obedient faith that we have access into the grace of God according to Romans 5:2.

I am grateful that you have pointed out the extent of God's promises. I grow so weary of the false teachers and prophets that twist God's Word into a lie, saying you can have anything you want, if you have the faith to believe it and if you don't get it it is YOUR own fault. Those wicked one's will find God is not amused when they stand face to face with Him.

As you have pointed out we have been promised food, clothing and adequate shelter, plus the companionship of the Holy Spirit and the Love of God.
