  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello,
I am Mike. I have a few prayer requests, sorry if they arent big, but if you find the time to help and pray for/with me it would be much appreciated.

The first request, i know it isnt very relevant but on my way home from youth group litteraly 20 minutes ago i witnessed a car accident and reported it, please pray that even though everybody walked away that nobody ends up hurt and everything goes smooth for them.

Second, My parents are in an ongoing divorice and i pray and request that you pray with me that everything starts to go smooth, nobody does anything stupid or that they might regret, and maybe that God be brought into both of their lives because right now hes at a minimal in their hearts.

Third, that my mental health and sanity keeps getting better. I had been really hurt from a relationship and i just need help to pray that Gods will be done and i accept everything he brings into my life.

Thanks if you decide to help, and thanks for even reading this, bless you all and i will keep all of you in my prayers. I love each and everyone of you in the Lords name!

Mike

Hi Mike

So sorry you had to witness that car accident. I will certainly pray for the healing and salvation of all who were involved. That they know peace and God will use it for them to find Jesus.

Regarding your Parent's Divorce. That to is so very sad. Are they Christians? How are you coping?
I pray that peace would be in their hearts and they both find a way forward. For lots of forgiveness and mercy and healing of hurts. That whatever led to this is sorted out and worked through and God softens their heart's to consider reconciliation and a fresh start in Him.

And precious you. It is always hard when a relationship breaks up, for you still have feelings of love and fondness for the one lost. However, this is not the end but a new beginning. A new Chapter in your life where you can discover through your pain the all sufficiency and grace of God. A deeper closeness and walk that you might never have had if this had not been allowed to happen. For everything works together for good. Romans 8 verse 28.

If everything in our life was how we wanted, was without trial, without disappointment, how would we ever learn to rely on and trust in God without difficult times? Use this time as a beautiful opportunity from God to know that when you are weak you are strong, to let go of self and find your all in Christ. For without Him we can do nothing.

This is in no way to lessen the fact you are recovering from loss, but to encourage you that He is in this with you and you can choose to use this to bring you in a deeper walk with Him. And one day, you will look back on this and see how wonderfully God provided for you, was faithful to you and changed you from one degree of glory into another.

And that as you go on with Jesus and go through the doors He opens, you will know peace. That He will speak to your heart what He has for you, whether it be celebacy or marriage. Both are precious callings from the Lord.

Much peace and grace to you in Jesus
Gentle-Heart
