The dream began as if I had died and suddenly appeared in Hell. I didn't know where I was at first. Everything was orange and red. I was on my hands and knees. There wasn't enough room to stand up. It was as if I was in a deep cave. The ceiling just over my back, the wall next to me, an edge that went into a deep lava flow on the other side, and it looked like I could crawl forward except for the person in front of me who was as confused and I. The girl in front of me didn't have any clothing and neither did I. But we didn't notice it just as Adam and Eve didn't know they were naked. The person behind me had just appeared. If I was to go forward on the edge I was on, I would go around a corner. That was when I realized I was in Hell and the reality set in that I was never escaping. In the moment I thought I was actually there.

First, warn your friends. Hell is real. It's eternal. The dream you had was surely a warning of the reality of hell. I suppose it might have been given for the sake of others whom you can warn and even maybe some who will come to this forum. For anyone reading this who does not know the Lord, here are some resources you can check out.

Finally, how can we escape hell? The Bible tells us the answer.

"The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son. And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life." (1 John 5:10-13, NASB)

God Bless you Boondock_Saint! Thanks for sharing your vision of hell. Hell is VERY REAL. In time God will use you to tell your friends, family relatives anyone that you come in contact with to share what you had seen with them.

Everyone has different visions and testimonies of what Hell looks like some vivid and terrifying, too terrifying to even understand what the person saw and felt. Others are mild but straight to the point and vivid enough to change that persons life forever.

Here is my Testimony of the Vision God gave me of Hell 2 years ago.

Vision of Hell & How Jesus Christ Saved Me! (Prayers for Young People Book Launch 10.12.2011) - YouTube

The same day I accepted Jesus but first I had to fight the Devil who gave one last defiant fight by using me to lash out at my pastor. With the Help of Jesus he cast him out of me once I finished the prayer and accepted Jesus.

Re-born, delivered, Saved I was and I often recall that moment over and over again when I had the vision of Hell, how I felt and how I was saved.

You will play an important role in God's plan "I will make you fishers of men" by using your testimony to share with others so they too may repent of their sins and be saved from the terrible fate that awaits those who are lost.

Remain Blessed!

Richard

It was a dream, not reality. According to the bible, the wages of sin is death. Not Hell.

Hum ... not quite, Timothew. You are right that the wages of sin is death. For that is what Romans 6:23 teaches. However, the "death" the Bible is talking about is, in fact, eternal separation from God in that place which is called "hell." It's an eternal place of torment. I would encourage you to watch the videos.

Here are just quotes from the Bible about hell:

"And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments ..." (Luke 16:23)

"But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed, has authority to cast into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him!" (Luke 12:5)

"For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment ....... then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment, and especially those who indulge the flesh in its corrupt desires and despise authority." (2 Peter 2:4-10)

So hell, that is very much a real place.

Once again, I encourage anyone who is reading this post to watch those videos, and to be a student of the word of God, lest you be deceived and think that there is no hell at all -- that is a terrible deception that many have fallen into.

As for the dream not being reality, once again Timothew, I must challenge you on that point. The dream itself is not reality, but it is a reflection of reality. I believe the Lord has spoken through this dream, and so should I really be surprised that someone has now come along to suggest that (1) it does not reflect reality and that (2) there really is no hell? Satan, get behind me.

I find it funny that a video about being in Hell for 23 minutes is 14 and 96 minutes long. I think he is the same guy who changed his story, when he said the center of the Earth was 300 degrees or something like that and he was challenged by scientific evidence.
Regarding Mary Baxter, I thought Paul and Timothy said, that Woman were to be silent in Church and not lead. This dream is much like the movie the Lost World. Ledge, lava. If Hell is a place, then how can the visions all be different?

Whoever has ears to hear let him hear what the Holy Spirit says to the church.

Amen. The Lord is definitely speaking in these final days before the return of Christ. May the Lord bless all who heed His word.

I can't believe how anyone can tarnish the above posters topic about his dream of Hell, it's really shocking. Rather than scoring points post something constructive or don't post at all.

I tried to contribute to Boondock_Saint's post by sharing my testimony of Hell and where my soul would of being going if I had not repented of my sins and accepted Jesus. THAT IS TRUTH and God revealed this truth to me. There is no other way about it either I believed in Hell and repented of my sins or I didn't and that I continue on the path I was on full of sin and UN-repentant.

I am sorry Boondock_Saint, for the derailment of your post. God has an important mission for you and for all those that by grace are saved you were shown a small glimpse of Hell and God will use you to tell others of what you saw.

More quotes from the Bible on hell, for those who may be reading this thread.

Jesus said, “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you travel around on sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves. (Matthew 23:15)

"You serpents, you brood of vipers, how will you escape the sentence of hell?" (Matthew 23:33)

The following is also a statement that Jesus made, which relates to this same topic:

"... an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment." (John 5:28-29)

Notice, both are resurrected. But one resurrection is righteous (leading to paradise which eventually is on the earth), and the other is unrighteous (leading to hell).

So when we warn people about the dangers of rejecting Christ, please warn them about the resurrection of the unrighteous, which lasts forever, in a real place of torment called the lake of fire.

By the way, the lake of fire, that's found here in the Bible.

Blessings.

Well, I have read the bible a lot.
I've through the bible a few times completely, but I mainly read the new testament. Not that I neglect the OT, I just find the NT more compelling, more relevant.

I've learned to read the NT in greek so that I can read what was originally written and not have to rely on a translation. I think the translations are really good, but the NT in the original language is much more powerful. I'm telling you this just so you will know that I am not just some ignoramus who doesn't know what he is talking about. Hell is actually a very poor translation for Gehenna, which is the Valley of Gehenna outside of Jerusalem. And for Hades (literally means "unseen") which is the greek underworld ruled by the greek god Hades himself, if one is to belief such things. As a Christian, I do not believe the greek myths are true, but Greece and Rome (which borrowed from Greece) obviously influenced the Roman Church to such an extent that now pre-Roman Christianity is looked upon with suspicion. Hades (the mythological place) is the greek term used for the Hebrew word "Sheol" which is the idea of where all of the dead go at death. This is best thought of as the grave. The fate of everyone, but of course, not the final fate of Christians who will be resurrected to eternal life on the last day, just as Jesus Christ said.

I also want to say that I used to believe the standard line, "hell is eternal separation from God as a result of man's sin". After stuying the bible much more, I discovered that this isn't true. "Hell is eternal separation" is not a doctrine that is found in the bible. The wages of sin is death, the penalty to be paid is eternal destruction (2 thess 1:9), John 3:16, Ezekiel 18, Isaiah 66, The account of original sin in Genesis, the example of Sodom and Gemorrah in Jude, all of these passages and many more prove that sin destroys us, but Jesus Christ rescues us from the destruction of our sin, taking the penalty of our sins, which is death, upon Himself and dying in our places on the cross. He died on the cross because the penalty of sin is death. He paid the penalty we owe, even though He owed no penalty since he had no sin.

For as many people on this website that say they reviewed the original Greek scripts, you would expect that more people would be fluent in Greek...

My idea is, if you can't prove you are fluent in Greek, what is your two cents worth concerning Greek translations?

How would a person prove that they are fluent in greek over the internet? I read a chapter of the NT a day in greek. Is this fluent? IDK. Not as fluent as some, but more fluent than others.

Here you go, but I don't think this will satisfy you since I think your intention was just to put me down since I spoke out against the tradition of hell. This doesn't "prove" that I'm fluent in greek, but it does show that I have been reading greek regularly for well over two years. I actually started to learn greek in December of 2008.

The way that hell supporters are so venomous when I post verses that disagree with their POV shows me that something is wrong.
