"A Distant Thunder"/

I don't know where to post this so I am posting it here...Even though I am not 30.
Has anyone seen the movie "a distant thunder"? It is a 70's version of "You've been left behind" and it deals with people that were left after the rapture. I ask because some of the things that happened in that movie i find simukar to some of the things we are facing right now in the world. I mean like the barcode "one man system" I remember when i use to work at an animal hospital in 2001 they had these microchips owners could have inserted into their dogs paw. I immediately was shocked!!!what? This is the gateway to the antichrist...Microchips under your animals paw? They will start with animals,then try to move to humans. I explained this possibility to one girl I was working with at that time. She said "oh no, it's not the same thing". She was like"that is crazy" I thought to myself...i beg to differ...What do you think. Do you think they are trying to slowly move to humans? I find it VERY PECULIAR THEY CHOOSE A MICROCHIP TO INDENTIFY AN ANIMAL.What are your takes on this...

I used to belong to the evangleical crowd and then when I met and married my wife I changed to the adventist faith. I've heard it all - meaning biblical prophecy and such and have to arrive at the conclusion that most evangelical christians have got it all wrong on most things related to end times events. I was never a fan of those films "Thief in the Night", "Distant Thunder" Prodigal Planet 1 & 2" because the whole motivation was "salvation by fear". I recently took the time to read through Revelations a few times and really came to the conclusion that it is a very cryptic book filled with many examples that could be interpreted in numerous ways. One really bad thing I think has happened to the modern church is that it has gotten so focused on the "pre tribulation rapture" that it has forgotten what Christ really wanted us to do in our time here on Earth (which incidentally was not sitting on our duffs waiting to be translated). I have to ask myself what are hundreds of 1000's of Christians going to do if they are wrong and there is no pre-tribulation rapture? Christ's original followers thought that they would see him return in their lifetimes but instead suffered grueling deaths. I have no qualms about the fact that we are technically living in the last days, but as I read Revelations, I see references to many events that many modern evangelical Christians believe to be on the horizon that could have in fact already occured. I personally have found it laughable to think that Satan, with all his millenia of experience dealing with humas, is going to just waltz in and start playing out the "Left Behind" scrpit. Think about it. He would be most successful if he could decieve Christians along with heathens. After all it siad that even the "vey elect" might be decieved.

I had the greatest shock of my life when i heared a newsbulletin about some Café here the netherlands, some 3 years back. I cannot recall whether it was just theorecially or already in use but some customers from the busy café could register for an alternative payment in that club, rather than cash or card their upper arm was implanted with a little chip, so when u had ur arms full of drinks and was to be in a crowdy spot u didnt have to reach out for your wallet.

i strongly remember my fear back then. It's always for a "good cause" many fail to think on the long term, especially difficult without being christian as well. since we got a program of events and such...
