The Forum Guidelines posted by Melethiel state:

This forum is for discussion and debate about homosexuality from a Christian perspective. This may include, but is not limited to, such issues as
    • what Christians teach about homosexuality in a Christian life,
    • what the Scriptures teach about homosexual behavior,
    • what impact, if any, such teachings should have on government and education.
  • Post in this forum may not be directed at other posters or at groups of people. You may not make it personal, for instance, by slinging around accusations and calling each other names. Before you make a post, think about whether you would say it to the person if they were standing in front of you.
  • If a member self-identifies as Christian, you are to respect that. You may debate their beliefs, but you may not tell them they are not Christian.
  • Loaded words like "hater," "bigot," "pervert," "homo," etc. are strictly forbidden
  • Enforcement of the rules will be much stricter. Moderator staff will issue warnings, forum-specific bans (FSBs), and infractions as necessary to encourage civil discussion.
***

Note the following:

* The guidelines do not state there is "one" Christian viewpoint and that to post here one must be politically correct

* The guidelines acknowledge there are differences of opinion on this topic among Christians

* The guidelines specifically forbid saying because of another's viewpoint, sexual orientation, or relationship status, that that person is "not a Christian" or implying same via innuendo.

* The guidelines acknowledge debate will occur and differences of opinion will be expressed and this is okay.

Considering the above, any assertion we "shouldn't be debating this topic" amount to attempts to circumvent the rules and impose additional illegetimate unofficial rules on the members. Any assertion there is only one "Christian" position on issues in this area amounts to calling posters with whom the poster stating such disagrees "not Christians" in violation of the rules.

...and oddly enough you're the one that's got the right beliefs, correct?
tulc(never met anyone yet who believes the above where that doesn't seem to be the next step)

Not oddly at all is that God’s testimony is in the Bible not in individual Christians; not only are many disputing what the Bible says they don’t really have any Bible passages to support what they are saying either.

So...you're right, correct?

Dear tulc,
So...you're right, correct?
As I said its not individual Christians who have the truth, Jesus Christ does, you are asking other Christians whether they are right yet you can test what they say for yourself to see if if matches or is the scripture. If one asks a Christian whether they are right when all they are doing is quoting Christ's teaching then all one is doing is questioning Christ's teaching by attacking the messanger.

Dear tulc,
Ahhh! so it isn't so much you're right it's just you're sure we're wrong?
tulc(or am I wrong again?)
Well work it out, neither you or I are Jesus Christ who is the truth and while I refer to what Jesus Christ's NT teaching you seem only able to focus on what you or I think. Its like you are deternmined not to even acknowledge what Jesus Christ teaches.

Dear tulc,
Those passages dont address same-sex unions directly. Indeed they do refer to not judging people, all the more reason we look to what Jesus NT teaching says about same-sex unions rather than what you or I think of each other's point of view.
But Matthew 7 does teach about good fruit and bad fruit. Same-sex unions are bad fruit as they are contrary to God's purposes and error. Gen 2, 19, Lev 18, 20, 1 Tim 1, 1 Cor 5-7, Romans 1 etc.

Dear criada,
It will be interesting when we reach heaven to see how many things we were convinced of that we had completely wrong!
Well thats true but maybe God does demand perfect theology and you have got that wrong
The question is if the NT record is wrong who can say there is a heaven? The NT writers have written so we may believe, otherwise it must be so we can be deceived.
