I was looking through my confirmation work the other night, when I came across something interesting.

I believe it was the 3rd petition of The Lord's Prayer that I was reading about last night.

"Hallowed be thy name"
"Thy Kingdom Come"

I read that those verses have a meaning of a prayer to God. In other words, in this petition, we are praying not TO God, but FOR God. We are praying that his name be Holy or Hallowed, throughout the world, and that one day he will return to earth as promised. Hence, 'Thy Kingdom Come'.

I never knew that we actually prayed FOR God at all. But I think we should more often.

Just imagine all of the wonderful things he does for us. He should not only be praised and glorified, but prayed for as well. Just like everyone else.

I just thought I would share this with you all. :)

Genesis 1:26
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Man has been given dominion over all the earth. So it is through us that God regains dominion of the earth to bring all back under His authority.

Rev. 11:18
And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

We read about a time when God will "destroy those who destroy the earth". Those who are a part of His Kingdom, will live forever. They will be rewarded for their faithfulness.

That is why it is though us the kingdoms of this world become the kingdoms of God.

Rev. 11:15
Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!"

The Bride is a conquering army and His bannor over us is love. It is though us that God is going to flood this world with His love. The invitation is open for whosoever is willing, let them come.

Rev. 22:17
And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.
