THE DANGEROUS TRACK
A story is told about a little boy who was playing with his toy on a railroad track, and the toy got stuck under a rail. He was seen trying to get it unstuck by a man, who also heard a train coming in the distance. The man ran to rescue the boy, who protested his removal, being determined to get his toy out. As the train was seen coming closer the man grabbed the boy and pulled him away in time to be saved, but the toy was crushed by the overwhelming train.

We don't know the particulars of this event, but it is truly a spiritual picture of life to ponder. Very likely the little boy was sad ---losing his toy while not realizing the danger he was in, being on a dangerous track. Is one on a dangerous track in life? That might be in a place and doing that which is dangerous for the eternal soul. If he or she does not know it is dangerous, then that soul needs to hear the life-saving Gospel message of God ---notably John 1; John 3; John 14; and in Romans 3.

It would be a very sad thing to have a soul protest and resist the rescue if the track one is walking is the destructive pathway of the enemy of our soul ---Satan, as the adversary of man, who opposes the Creator-God and hates all the people of God. The enemy likes to keep people occupied with various appealing things, to ignore the calling and way of God (see Matt. 6: 19-24; 1 Pet, 5: 6-8; 1 Jn. 5: 10-12).

How can one recognize the wrong pathway or track of life? One might read the Gospel messages in the New Testament of their Bible, and see the difference between tracks of life we all have before us here in this world. As God says: "How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation" (Heb. 2:3)?
