  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

A couple prayer requests..

Well, first, I see my psychiatrist for my anxiety & depression tomorrow for the first time. I'm feeling a bit nervous about it, wondering what's going to happen, what kind of medicine I will get (if any) and how it will affect me... Hoping and praying for the best though!

Second, I got my husband to go to church with me on Sunday for the first time. I absolutely LOVE my church so I was so glad he decided to go. Funny thing is, the sermon was about marriage. (And it really never is!) And, we have been having so many problems lately. It hit us straight on and he told me he felt like crying. He can't wait to go back. GOD IS SO GOOD!!!!! I just wanted to ask for prayers for him, that he will continue to feel good about it and want to go back! He has never been baptized. Praying one day he decides he wants/needs to make that decision. Thanks in advance!!!!

Lord, be there for her and her husband. Lift any depression or anxiety, off her shoulders and do not let them return. Give the psychiatrist wisdom and allow him/her to help her, that she is in good hands.
Let her husband to want to continue to go to church, that he one day want to be baptized and let him enjoy the fellowship at church.
Send her and her husband any help they need in their marriage, show them you are going to be there every step of the way.
Send her and her husband; your love, peace, comfort and strength. I pray for this, in Jesus name, Amen.

That is awesome news that your husband joined you in church - and even more exciting that he can't wait to go back! Isn't God amazing? He proves Himself faithful over and over again.

I'll be praying for you and your husband, asking the Lord to bless your relationship and strengthen your bonds with one another - and with Him!

I'll also be praying for you as well. How did your appointment go today? I hope everything went smoothly for you.

Blessings to you, and I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving! :)

I would suggest that you start reading the bible even in front of him and be an example of commitment to Christ and to your faith. Did you ever accept Christ as your savior and Lord? God can do for you what doctors cannot even think of. I was paralyzed from the neck down and Jesus Christ healed me when doctors could do nothing about it. I am 65, a lady and if you need a friend to talk to, I would like to correspond with you. Intimacy within the marriage is destroyed lot of time because of stupid little things that are never dealt with. let' pray - Father in Jesus name I ask Your forgiveness for my sins and all that I have done and said that undermined your word. I believe that Jesus Christ died on a cross for my sins. I accept Jesus Christ as my personal savior and Lord, take over my life and marriage, amen.

Thanks all for the prayers. Manny, I have been baptized. I was 13. :)

Update on my Dr's visit:

My psychiatrist told me I'm having these anxiety symptoms because of my depression causing them. I got prescribed Prozac. Will start taking it either today or Monday (new week) Going to be journaling and marking the days on a calendar so I won't forget. Only thing I'm scared of is side effects, and that I will have to wait 6 weeks to see a difference, and I'm praying the medicine works. I would love to do this on my own and just rely on God to help me through, but then I keep telling myself, this is a chemical imbalance in my brain. If you don't mind, please continue to pray for me. Thanks so much & I appreciate it. I hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving! <3

Hi Lisa

I will be praying for you, however I would recommend that you watch and agree in prayer with cindy trimm. Go to youtubecindytrimmatomicpowerprayers and youtubeprophettbjoshuadeliveranceandprayers this is al about spiritual warfare. I listen to it every day and I am blessed as I agree with her statements of faith. God bless

Thank you!

I'm on my 4th day of Prozac. I have been feeling okay. Maybe a little calmer. Nothing very noticeable yet, but it's only been a few days. I have been having a bit of a dull headache from it, and a little bit jittery & anxious. Also, had trouble sleeping last night. Slept for about 4 1/2 hours, and then I was up every 2 hours. Anyway, I'll update a bit here & there, but I appreciate the prayers! Thanks :)
