Homosexuality? (Marriage, etc)

Women as priests (deacons, bishops...)

Abortion?

I'm not telling which are mine. Not on this thread, I mean. I am just searching for a church I can call home. (I'm not intending to do a debate, just to know).

I'm not a soldier in TSA, but I've been attending a corp for about 2 years, and I'll answer the questions to the best of my ability :)

Homosexuality--opposed, but still love the people that are homosexuals.

Women as priests (deacons, bishops, etc.)--totally fine.

Abortion--opposed, but still love the people who have had abortions.

Firstly I suggest following the link dog lover provided or up top in the sticky section there is a thread called Sticky: Online Resources - SA and other That has alot of useful links to find out core beliefs. The Salvos have 11 doctrinal statements while everything else is a positional statement. The positional statements are not official beliefs. The soldiers and officers have to agree with the 11 doctrines. Part of the reason for this is when the army was started it was a mission organisation. However the people who were saved through the army's work were not welcomed in many churches so they continued going to the army services. By default it then became a denomination as a result.

Homosexuality? (Marriage, etc)

Women as priests (deacons, bishops...)
As far as women as priests go there is no problem. The original setup in the army was that if a couple were married and leading a corps (church) then they were both equally in charge. Sadly today many of the wives take a back seat and don't provide good strong role model for young girls. There are exceptions of course but far too few in my opinion.

Can I ask why you ae wanting to know the answers to these questions?

Which are your denomination position on:

Homosexuality:its wronge, but i still love them...

Women as priests:no problem at all

Abortion: wrong. as christians, we belive babies are alive the moment of conception. people have to realize that abortion is murder. would you kill a baby? and even if you are a tenn, or whatever situation, what right do you have to take away a beutiful life, that god has shaped into a human, just like you, that has the potential to become anything. i dont understand how people can just destroy another life. but everyone makes mistakes, and after this paragraph about how bad abortion is, god loves sinners, no matter how horrible they are, as should we.
