Christmas Bauble
Looking back at earth from space
I see a globe of glistening blue-green
Hanging like a bauble on a tree
Of black boughs, with the Son
As its crowning star of Christmas
Another step backwards into faith
The focus shifts to a wider view
To show arms outstretched in love
On a cross of pain, to embrace
The creation of His hearts desire
With tears of awe, I shrink to my knees
As beyond the cross I see a glow
Of indescribable brightness and purity
Coming from the empty tomb, where
A stone rolled away to open heavens gate.
