I want to let you know how much I appreciate everything you have shared here. My mother has been diagnosed with bipolar and is currently going through an EXTREMELY bad spell. My family and I don't really know how to handle it and have been researching intensely.

Coming here and reading your testimonies and struggles has given me great insight and some additional confidence in helping my mother.

You never know how powerful your words can be, but they are a huge blessing to me. That along with God's grace will see us through this and get my mom back on track so that she can live her life and serve the Lord.

Hope your mother starts improving. THANK YOU for being a family member who is out trying to find ways to support someone in your family with BP; many of us can share stories of denial, rejection or abandonment at the hands of family members because of the diagnosis - BiPolar is extremely difficult to handle to begin with, but having the support of family and friends can really make the difference.
