I have read a great deal from those in favor of seminaries but never is a biblical case made for them. On the other hand, there are ones who claim they are unbiblical and they cite a number of verses like Gal. 1:15-17, John 14:26; 16:13-14, I John 2:27.

These verses certainly express to me that seminaries are unnecessary, but are they wrong? Why or why not (according to the Bible)?

You don't need a Bible just have a look at what passes on CF and you get a good idea why seminaries and universities should be mandatory for all Christians.

there is plenty in the bible to support study, thought and education. Looking for the bible to tell you what that should look like in the 21st century is as anachronistic as trying to find biblical support for using an aeroplane to get to London and ending up doing all your trips by donkey.

None of your citations are addressing the question, and the Holy Spirit is not a substitute for doing the graft but the necessary enabler. Not to mention that "you" in everyone of those Johanine quotes is plural, not singular.

Paul is one of the most educated men in one of the most educated societies of the period, and he uses every scrap of that education in his service of God.

Lazy, western-individualist anti-intellectualism.

Seminaries are very good for those called by God to do this in dept study. However, for those not called it is just like any other college education. For it to be the most beneficial those who are called walk through in the power of the Holy Spirit. It is amazing what you can learn when you follow God's calling. We do not need the Bible to confirm whether to go to seminary or not. Those who are not on a deep spiritual walk may want something to justify this.
