  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I am disappointed at the misconceptions they have not only of Nash but of schizophrenia itself.

I think it's a wonderful film and it makes me cry every time! I'm not sure I agree about the misconceptions... after all it was based on his autobiography!

Has anyone else seen the movie "A Beautiful Mind"? I've really enjoyed it, although I am disappointed at the misconceptions they have not only of Nash but of schizophrenia itself.

This was a true story.

Good movie. My older brother was diagnosed schizophrenic 18 years ago. It was a frightening experience for him, and for our family as well. I related alot to the range of emotions his wife felt in the film; you love the person, but the experience can get so disturbing it can be difficult to cope with. Fortunately, modern medicine has advanced alot and most schizophrenics can lead a fairly normal life.

i dont know very much about the illness portrayed in the film although it did make me see it in a different light, it must be very frightening for the sufferer sometimes and i did think russell crowe did portray him very well

in a way i think its good that there are quite few films that are based around various illnesses of the mind it definately gives us a better understanding of them and brings them out into the open more
