In just three weeks, arsonists burned down nine churches in Europe. The anti-Christian hysteria was noted by the Observatory of Intolerance and Discrimination Against Christians in Europe, the National Pulse reported Thursday.
Three of the attacks targeted Catholicchurches in the Netherlands. The recent spate of arsons started on Aug. 25 in Bad Wörishofen, Germany, where both the church and the altar cloth went up in smoke, creating damages of several thousand euros.
The fire at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Saint-Omer, France on Sept 2 is being blamed on a suspect with links to both the extreme left and the Islamic State, sharing their material on his social media sites. The individual has allegedly tried to set fire to 15 other churches.
