• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I cheat in my university. I cheat in my studies. There are areas in my university that I do not cheat too. I am feeling guilty. I tell myself no condemnation but I tend to feel condemned. A strong voice inside me just says move on. What should Christians who cheat in his or here studies do? What should Christians who cheat in university do?
I see you are in the Republic of Korea. I have been told that in South Korea there can be a very strong culture of shame against people who do what is wrong . . . like cheating . . . plus perhaps great shame against you if you do not do well in university. So, you could feel great fear of the shame of not doing well, so you could give in to temptation to cheat.

But Jesus loves us, no matter how well we do in studies. Shame, in my opinion, is not the right motivation to try to do well in school. And you do well to study what can help you do good for yourself and to love others also. So, you need to overcome that fear of the shame culture which might not be God's way to motivate you, in case this is happening to you.

If you have cheated, maybe it is like stealing something that you need to give back to someone. You stole it; so it is not yours. What do you do now? Pray and trust God, and talk with someone you know is a really Christian person, a person whom you trust. And talk and pray with each other until you have peace and strength about what to do and how to do it.

In my case, I was cheating and I did not even know it. I was pushing myself to study, got very little sleep, did not really enjoy what I was doing. I was socially and mentally not a good person; so I was not fit to have a career, before first learning to walk with Jesus and find out how to love people. So, I was very uneducated, about how to love, even though I had pretty good grades. I was not loving myself, but abusing myself by staying up too late studying. So, it would have been right to stop me, to put me out of the school. But because of how I was not God's way, I might have been very deeply hurt and ashamed; and people maybe knew this so they let me continue.

Even so, now I can make good use of my education for loving people :) I do not use it for making money and getting a good reputation, but for loving . . . for giving freely.

Do share with me if you are from a mega church or not. Do share with me whether you are a Christian. Please share what is your Christian denomination too! Grateful!
small churches, never in a mega church

no denomination . . . but I am a basic Jesus Bible person who tells people that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose on the third day to now rule over all, and share God's own good with us who have trusted in Jesus on the cross for salvation.
