  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I want to ask for some advice so that I may overcome a current weakness I'm bothered with.

The fear I have is that I'm affraid to talk about my faith in Jesus around unbelievers, especially when a certain relative is around who used to make some very nasty comments about my faith. Though that relative now respects it, the fear is still embedded in me and I want to overcome it. The thing that makes me more affraid about this fear is that it makes me feel like I'm ashamed of believing in Him and that he will be ashamed of me also according to Mark 8:38

I did pray for guidance in the past and praise the Lord He has helped me to overcome it for a bit, but it can still be very frightening sometimes.
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

Notice that it does not say "Hear your good words"

We are know by our fruits. I would be more concerned about feeling an obligations to behave differently around others than you would, say, in a church or around Christians.....moreso than the ability to talk about what you believe.

We are know by what we do, not say. If no one knows you are Christian without you talking about it, you have more to be concern with before fear....
