  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Went to 4H on Friday and found a horse for my daughter to practice with, and maybe show if she feels comfortable with it.

13 hands tall 1/4 horse.

I love horse people. I have been invited to ride with several people, and now my daughter can do a 4H horse project.

Even better, they have all the tack we need.
So my daughter can enjoy her love of horses.

GOD IS GREAT:thumbsup: He answered her prayers.

good luck with the pony. I did 4H for 4 or 5 years and i had a blast every year except the first one. Keep reminding her that 4H is for fun and to try new classes and events. I had the most fun entering classes that i didn't have any idea what they were.

Good luck!

Jackson, haven't seen it yet, well up close.
I drive by the property, and have seen the horse from about a quarter mile away.
right now we're not thinking of anything advanced, just staying in the saddle.

Find a good instructor :) Can't emphasize that enough.
It's 4H, so not sure who will teach her. Probably her best friends dad, he has had horses all his life. she shows in 4h. He is our go to person for horse info.

She rode the pony last Saturday.
It was a little dirty from spending the day in the pasture. But it was well mannered.
(10 yr old pony. gelding, I think)

The pony is over weight, and is going on a diet, because an overweight or under weight horse is automatic disqualifier. For the fair.
