Garland was a judge, not a Democrat. He was nominated as the AG of the DOJ to uphold the law, not to carryout some political agenda.

I've been waiting for the 'peace dividend' for fifty years. I'll believe it when I see it.Better yet, we can really get some of those budget savings when all wars end.
