40 Days for Life is a focused, positive, national and international, prayful 40 day effort to literally "stand in the gap" where abortions take place, primarily at Planned Parenthood. This is the second year; it is powerful and sustains positive results.

Consider, beginning September 24 and continuing through to November 2, 2008 over 170 cities across America taking part and praying for and end to abortion, including fasting (biblical principle God uses to change His people). Some cities reporting a 28% drop in abortions and hundreds of new people getting involved in local lifesaving ministy efforts.

Certainly not. That is clearly not what 40daysforlife is about.
Rather:
Prayer, fasting, peaceful vigil, outreach.

Checkout the corresponding name websites. I have been involved since last year, and it is spiritually fruitful with countless blessings. Our first motivation is prayer and fasting, asking Almighty God's help in ending abortion in our individual communities. We are NOT a protest, but are prayerful.
